Adultery Knowing My Wife, Knowing Me As Well - part III
Chapter 48 continues

After Meera left for work, I made my way to the office, feeling the mental pressure, unable to think of anything but the future of the day. Nidhi, noticing my unease, didn’t hesitate to ask.
“Is it happening?”
It was just after the morning briefing was over and we were alone.
“Yeah,” I admitted hesitantly. “I think I should just let it happen. It’s fine.”
“How’s she been at home? I mean... her behavior with you?” Nidhi’s concern was evident.
“She’s perfect,” I replied, trying to sound convincing.
Nidhi gave me a look that suggested she didn’t entirely believe me. Sensing her doubt, I added, “Actually, last night, we had some great fun.” I could sense a hint of satisfaction slipping into my voice.
Nidhi raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “Special treatment?”
I smiled. “Yeah, she gave me a little something extra.” My grin widened as I noticed her own smile forming, though there was a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
“Oh, I see,” she said, her tone playful. Then, after a quick glance around to make sure no one was within earshot, she leaned in slightly. “So... are you planning to go there? You know, secretly?”
“I wish I could,” I admitted. “But there’s a problem.” I explained the issue with the door lock. “The door has a conventional lock that can only be operated from the outside. Once I’m inside, I can’t lock it myself.”
“Oh, so how are you going to handle that?” Nidhi asked.
“I was thinking of getting inside the house through the balcony after unlocking it from the inside.”
“That’s dangerous,” she said, frowning.
“There’s no other way. I have to try.”
Nidhi paused, considering the situation, before offering a suggestion. “I’ll come with you to your apartment,” she said. “Once you’re inside, I’ll lock the door from the outside and take the key with me. That way, you’ll be safe, and I can come back later to unlock it for you.”
I stared at her, surprised. “Are you sure?”
I hadn’t expected her to get so involved in my problem.
“Yeah. We can do it,” she said with a reassuring smile.
I nodded, thanking her with my eyes for her support.
At around 10am, Nidhi and I made our way to the Alpine Heights. I left my car at the office, choosing instead to ride on her scooty to avoid suspicion. When we reached my apartment, I quickly checked to ensure no one was watching as I unlocked the door and stepped inside. Nidhi followed closely behind, her jaw dropping in surprise.
“It’s huge! Oh my god!” she exclaimed as she walked into the hall.
“There’s nothing here – no extra items. That’s why it looks so spacious,” I replied, though my my mind was preoccupied with what lay ahead instead of the size of the flat.
"Way more than I imagined," she said almost to herself and then added, “But I guess now’s not the time to check it out.”
I glanced at her, suppressing a small smile. “Meera was actually planning to come here with me,” I said. “She wanted to see if it’d be a good place for us to move into.”
Nidhi turned to me. “Move?”
“That was the plan. But then Desai found out and suggested they could meet here instead," I said.
Nidhi nodded and stepped closer to me. And her voice was lower when she asked, "so, where are you going to hide?”
“I’ll figure it out.” I said, looking around.
Nidhi turned to me, concern crossing her face. “Are you nervous?”
“Yeah, a little,” I admitted, trying to smile but feeling the tension rise within me.
She narrowed her eyes. “It’s not going to get violent, right? Like, some altercation happens and if you end up killing them, I’ll end up in jail too, as your partner in crime. Tomorrow’s news: ‘Man, with the help of his girlfriend, kills wife and her lover.’”
Her joke made me laugh despite my anxiety. “If that happens, I’ll definitely consider linking my name with yours,” I teased.
Nidhi laughed but then asked with playful innocence, “Do I really look that beautiful?”
I leaned forward and squeezed her shoulder gently. “You’re my little sweetheart already, Nidhi. My partner in crime.”
She blushed, her eyes reflecting a hint of shyness. She looked cute, but I wasn’t in the mood for flirting. My body felt hot with anticipation, the reality of what I was about to witness gnawing at me.
“I was worried about where you’d hide until we got here,” Nidhi went on with a smile. “But now, seeing how big this place is, I think you’ll manage just fine. Plenty of space for you to disappear.”
I began to smile and she added, “so much space is there; it's actually making me wonder of I too should stay around, with you. I hope I won't die of tension and heart attack."
I stared at her, unsure whether she really meant that. She saw my look. "I mean... If you're okay with that, of course." She added, almost looking embarrassed.
"And who's going to lock the door then?" I asked.
She froze for a moment, and then a laugh bubbled out of her. “Okay, that was dumb. Forget I said it.” She shook her head, smiling at her own foolishness.
For a moment, I just watched her. The way her face glowed, a mix of charm and embarrassment, was... distracting. There was something about the way she could laugh at herself that felt disarming, like she was letting me see a part of her she usually kept hidden.

Nidhi left shortly after, locking the flat from the outside as we had planned. She also kept my phone, saying it would save me from unexpected drama in this game of secret.
Now, I was alone, and the real wait began.
I removed my shoes and belt, hiding them under a wooden cot to avoid detection. As I wandered around the flat, I searched for the perfect hiding spot. The shelves didn’t seem like a safe option – if they opened one out of curiosity, I’d be caught red-handed.
I checked the time on the wall clock. It was almost 10.30 a.m. Desai's flight was scheduled to arrive at 10:50 a.m. It would take him about half an hour to get out of the airport and head to this place. Meera might already be waiting for him, but I doubted she would have time to go to the airport to receive him because of her busy schedule at work.
It seemed more likely that they would meet here directly. They might stop at a café for coffee before coming over, but I felt that was unlikely. Desai would be craving a more substantial feast, and why would he waste time on coffee? He would probably rush here as quickly as possible, eager to take Meera to bed without delay.
Based on my calculations, they would likely arrive here by 11:50 a.m.
I needed to find a place to hide in the empty house. With nothing but basic furniture in the rooms, finding a good hiding spot was challenging. I walked around, trying to predict where they would spend their time together. The master bedroom seemed the most likely choice.
As I stepped into the room, my heart raced at the sight of the king-size bed. "It has a bed and a couch in every room," I remembered her message to Desai.
In just a few hours, my wife would be welcoming her lover in this very bed – offering him her married body, accepting his manhood into her. She would be seeking and delivering pleasure with a man who wasn’t her husband. She would give him the kind of insane pleasure that I could only wish for.
I thought about how to hide myself in the master bedroom. The empty shelves, equipped with locks, were an option, but risky – if Meera or Desai decided to open or lock them out of curiosity, I could end up either caught or trapped. There were no curtains to offer cover either. The only feasible hiding place was under the bed.
The bed was heavy, and there wasn’t enough of a gap on the sides for me to easily squeeze in. However, the inside of the bed’s frame was hollow, providing just enough space for me to lie beneath it if I somehow could get in. But even that felt unsafe. What if Meera or Desai decided to check under it?
I remembered how Desai had used an app the last time he was with Meera to scan for spy devices in the room. They could easily be suspicious and inspect beneath the bed. I needed to make my plan foolproof.
Searching for a solution, I found some empty cartons in the kitchen. I carried them to the master bedroom and arranged them under the bed, creating additional cover for myself. I left small gaps between the cartons to allow myself a view of the room.
At 11:45 a.m., with my heart pounding in anticipation, I carefully lifted one side of the bed and maneuvered myself into the narrow space beneath it. I positioned myself behind the cartons, concealed but with a clear vantage point. I removed my shoes, belt, and wallet – anything that might inadvertently make noise. Yet, as the clock inched closer to noon, my heartbeats seemed deafeningly loud, and I worried that Desai might hear them if he was particularly alert.
I lay stiff under the bed, barely daring to breathe, waiting for their arrival. But as the seconds turned into what felt like minutes, and the silence stretched on, doubt began to creep in. My mind suddenly cooked a thought that threw me out of my focus. What if they changed their plan on their way to this place and went to any hotel suite of Desai's choice instead?
The thought kept growing, overpowering me. What if all my preparation, all this waiting, had been for nothing?
The silence that filled the house was beginning to suffocate me. I glanced at the clock again. 12:00.
I heard nothing. Not a single footstep. Not the creak of a door. Nothing at all.
I knew it. The plan was falling apart.
