As the winters progressed and gave way to Spring, came the time for the  dreaded 10th Board exams for the students. He was prepared for the exams  and had nothing to bother. In fact in February (exams start in March), he  used to go out and play a game of cricket atleast three-four times a week.  That was his time to relax and refresh. 

It so happened that one day in February (2nd half) he was playing a match.  It was against the team from Munirka village and as expected it had Dahiya  on the other side. Additional motivation for Vicky, if ever required in a game.  

The match was being played somewhat closer to Sheetal’s house than his  own. But he knew all the streets, lanes etc like back of his hand. 
He was fielding close to the boundary when a ball was ferociously hit for a  six. He being the closest one had to do the fetching. Vicky came out of the  ground and went towards the ball. As he was about to turn, he saw Mrs  Kapoor (Sheetal’s and Niti’s mother) coming out from one of the lanes and Mr Gupta (one person known to both Kapoors and his family due to being in  same vicinity) coming out of the other one. The two lanes were such that  they originated from the same point so technically two persons coming out of the two lanes at the same time cannot miss each other. They gave each  other a slight glance and Mr Gupta went to his Maruti 800 parked nearby and Mrs Kapoor walked along to her residence. This was strange for him because  as courtesy, both would have atleast acknowledged each other’s presence  before going separate ways and what was his Maruti-800 doing there? He  sensed something fishy, but could not pinpoint anything. 
As mentioned earlier, Mrs Kapoor had joined Business Development section  of a five star hotel and boy had it brought change in her. She was very  attractive in her own right earlier as well but now she had become the hot &  sexy female specimen.
One day he was asked to get some papers from one of his father’s friends.  His dad’s friend was at a senior position and was staying in Mumbai.  However, in Delhi, he chose to stay in a Five Star Hotel. Co-incidence as may  have it, he chose to stay at same hotel where Mrs Kapoor worked. Vicky went to the reception and asked for his father’s friend’s hotel room number. He  spoke with him and was asked to wait in the lobby. As it was first time in  such a big hotel, he was trying to drink in the atmosphere of the hotel. The  big lobby was seemingly very impressive and domineering. Something he had never witnessed earlier.
