"Rohan…" Mamta’s eyes widened, a startled gasp catching in her throat. "What are you doing here?"

"I had to see you." He stepped closer, his gaze devouring her, drinking in every dewy inch of her. "I couldn't wait anymore."

"Neetu…"

"Is at college. She won't be back till evening." His voice was a low, deliberate rumble.

Mamta’s breath caught in a sharp, betraying hitch. "You planned this?"

"I planned everything." He smiled, a slow, predatory curve of his lips. "I've been planning this for a long time."

"You're impossible."

"I know." He closed the distance between them until he could feel the warmth radiating from her body. "But you love it."

She stepped back, a silent invitation, letting him cross the threshold.

As he passed her, he caught the full, intoxicating bouquet of her scent, jasmine soap, the heat of her freshly showered skin, a faint, sweet hint of coconut oil in her hair.

His body responded in an instant, a surge of primal hunger coursing through him.

She closed the door behind him, sealing them in a world of their own.

"I was just cooking," she said, her voice a little breathless as she turned toward the kitchen. "You caught me in the middle of, "

"I don't mind." He followed her, his eyes fixed on the sway of her hips beneath the saree. "I like watching you."

She glanced back at him, a nervous, fluttering smile on her lips. "Watching me cook?"

"Watching you do anything." His voice dropped, becoming a husky murmur. "You're beautiful when you're just... being yourself."

A deep, rosy blush flooded her cheeks, and she turned back to the stove to hide it.

The kitchen was cozy and warm, filled with the fragrant symphony of spices and sizzling onions.

A pot of dal simmered gently, and a stack of fresh rotis, covered with a cloth, released a comforting, earthy steam.
