Romance The End of Restless Sleep- By Pinuram
She shook her head again. Her blank gaze haunted me. I was unable to stand before
those glassy eyes. I stepped back and walked out of the room silently. My head was

spinning. I slumped down on a chair. I cursed myself not to stand beside her. I cursed
myself for her ails.

Nilanjana ma’am came and sat beside me. She asked me, “What are you going to do?”

Every pair of eyes was looking at me for some answer. I looked at her father’s face. He
was unable to speak. At last, he broke down in front of me. My soul was not within me,
yet I felt that I should console him. I hugged him but I had not vocabulary left to console
a writhing father’s heart.

After a long time, I felt my grandma’s soothing palm on my shoulder. She whispered in
my ears, “Adi your love is writhing in pain and you are watching her. You are the apple
of my eye. Go and help her. How can you lose her?”

I pulled up all my strength and answered them in a stern voice, “I am going to take her
with me. I am dictating my decision. This time no more mistakes.”
