I do not think anything that Nadir is requesting is beyond something that has not happened already so there is no need for punishment.
Had he not seen Meena and Mansour that day, we would not be seeing this side of Nadir ever...Do you agree? So a side of him is born that day and it grew over time..and he enjoyed that side of him as long as it won't hurt his love for Meena and her love for him, Only time we saw that come close is with Jalal and we saw his reaction that you were expecting so why the change in stance now my friend.
Nadir is perfect in his sense and Meena understands him well..The couple knows that their adventures are above and beyond their love and marriage and this is only for fun. At this point I would even come out and tell that Nadir is not even forcing Meena into anything, she wants Tahir and she likes enjoying with him, yes she will stop it if Nadir says no, but she is enjoying with his plan and her plan together so we as readers should too.
Reading this story thinking as Meena and Nadir as any other couple after reading so much of their story would be an insult, infact read them as they are and understand them as they are wishing us to understand them, I know you mean well and care for them but they are in this together so there is nothing to lose.

A playful thing between a couple who have no barriers between them.....
Everything should be free, as long as the type of dialogue and statements of one of them, is acceptable to the other. In my opinion, that's fine, no matter how intense, negative, or provocative. I think it's barrier-free between two who love each other, and I have to say, no censorship, no matter what it is is, between them, is allowed and legitimate!
I would say that morality and social courtesy in the world of two lovers, truly loving ones, have nothing to lose as long as they accept each other in their own world...
This world has its own morals and its own boundaries of respect, and these, are set by both of them. And that is not and must not be determined by society.
General social morality has no place in this world!
If something is wrong, and one person doesn't agree with the other, or with what they say or do, then they will definitely receive punishment, if necessary!
Don't forget, I'm talking about love and the unity of lovers, not a partnership in society, which doesn't necessarily involve love as a component!
This partnership has its own socially necessary laws! This isn't the world of love, so I'm not talking about it...
Cheers,
Salir,

1. Mansour wanted Meena, but not as his wife or partner; he took a completely reserved stance in that regard. Perhaps because he knew he was incapable (socially and societally, not least because of Meena's attitude toward him), that he couldn't even dream of having her as his partner. It was all just a physical and somewhat psychological dominance, because of his nature and personality.
Mansour considers Meena, his niece, still as a young, inexperienced girl who can be easily exploited.
2. Jalal wanted Meena for himself, physically and as a life partner. Not enough, he wanted to take her and cut off all contact with her home, her homeland! He wasn't a dominant type, but an insidious, even cunning type. This goal of his was a much greater irritant, even a real rage factor, for Nadir. Especially the fact that he took advantage of Nadir's absence to achieve his goals caused Nadir to feel very angry, which we observed.
Jalal considers Meena, a young, beautiful woman who is suitable to be at his side as a partner for the rest of his life.
3. Tahir is what he is! He wants Meena, but only in the way Meena gives herself to him, no more and no less. His behaviour changes depending on Meena's reaction, and he does so honestly! He doesn't want to possess her, and he emphasize it too. When he says, 'I speak once and for all and not repeat myself...', this statement is neither didactic nor dominating, but means, 'I won't bother you with this topic anymore!', or when he says girly or girl, he knows that she likes this way of speaking and she enjoys calling her so (not in , his impression is that she loves his daddy figure! (not only in relation to his physique or age).
Tahir considers Meena, a young, pretty playmate and nothing more, who wants to freely participate in his erotic games, and if one of them no longer wants to, the game ends. He takes into account her will and her inclinations, much more than the other two!
Cheers,
Salir

Earlier we both saw how Nadir was out of line in a party when some one like Cyrus misbehaved with Meena, so we both criticized Nadir, and I agree at that time Nadir was not thinking straight, but here everything that is happening with Tahir was a pre-planned game and a well played match. If you think Tahir is in more control than Meena and Nadir here, then you are completely misinterpreting the circumstances based on purely the dominating persona of Tahir. Yes he is a dominating personality but he knows his limits and the moment he crosses the line beyond the bedroom, he will be put in his place by Meena.
His words "girl" or "girly" are merely his slang used by a farm guy compared to the sophisticated city men, but that doesn't mean he is owning Meena here....
Nadir either becomes water carrier or a mere spectator or anything for that matter is because he chooses to be so for his happiness and his wife's happiness..if the couple finds happiness in their experiments and adventures and with in their realm (that means their life) I do not think I or you have no right to call Nadir a water boy...In fact I feel he is giving his wife a unique experience that she will cherish for a long time.
How can you say he is no longer pulling the strings?
Do you see anywhere here that depicts a picture that Nadir doesn't know anything that is happening in his home or in the farm?
When a series of events happen and those events are discussed before between Meena and Nadir, then how can you imply that its not in his control? Also why do we talk about control? Isn't Meena adult enough to take her own decisions? If she thinks Tahir is a problem for her and Nadir, she will address it herself and there is no need for intervention from Nadir. She hesitates sometimes when she is with people she likes in general but once she knows they are different persons altogether and they mean harm to her and her family, do you think Meena will hesitate and let Tahir control her?
Also what is reality? Why do you think Nadir is far from reality? Do you think giving his wife to another man for night and subsequent nights or maybe initiating an affair between them means they are far from reality? How? I see no signs so far that this affair caused any damage to the couple, emotionally or physically so why are they far from reality? When you say reality, does that reality mean a picture perfect family that you have formed in your mind? And if Nadir and Meena does not match with that picture then they are far from the reality?

Who gets to decide what is common or natural? I will only criticize a couple if their actions are hurting each other and otherwise how they lead their life and on what terms and in what terms they find happiness, no one gets to judge them...or has any right to define what is right or wrong.
If Meena is happy, Nadir is happy when Meena is spending time with Tahir then I do not see why readers should be upset lol
As for Tahir, I found him interesting and its too early to say he manipulated Meena, yes he came unannounced to the house and wanted private time with her and when she hesitated he was upset, but did he use his disappointment to manipulate Meena? He simply left and stayed with Cyrus but Meena accidentally found out that he is still in the city, so she felt bad and invited him back but did he make her invite to her home by manipulation? I do not think so
As for arrogance, yes his dominating behavior sometimes gives that impression, and we will see if its only limited to private time or if his behavior will exceed beyond closed walls, if he behaves as he own Meena then I will agree with you.

Common man, where's the fun in not commenting, Fun is in arguing our perspectives in a friendly manner and if we have disagree then we should agree to disagree. Not commenting will only make author to abandon the story and make it boring.

Common guys, every time some one misinterprets the story, you guys cannot abandon the story like this...judgements and misinterpretations are part and parcel for a writer and readers who are reading it...how many books or movies receive negative comments though its just a perspective of some one misinterpreting it. Doesn't mean it becomes the truth, when you guys know the truth then why get offended? Instead we explain to our friend how it works through the story.
I have been asking you guys over and over to keep continuing and this leaving the story in the middle again and again is repeating. We are all adults here and lets not be offended so easily, we need to argue but its only to talk about different perspectives. Do you guys know how many times I have fought with other readers in this portal over the years over perceptions, but its all fun at the end.
I request Meena mam to continue the story and entertain us.
