Chapter 9

Menaka reached college.She went directly to the principal room.

“Hi Madam, good morning…Take your seat” he welcomed her.

She wished back and sat in front of him.

“Hi.. I am Ayan’s mother. I got a call from you.”

“Yes..yes…What would you like to drink coffee or tea..”

“I would prefer coffee sir” she replied.

He ordered a coffee and started taking back to her.

“Where do you live in here. is your husband back..”?

“We live in xyz nagar, Prakash is still abroad. Expecting his arrival soon. I think it is almost 6 months he left.”

“Ok, madam. Take your coffee...”

Menaka completed drinking coffee and looked at him with a question face

“There is nothing to worry actually, we called you to inform you that Ayan fell down in college ground during the practice sessions today... we got him the immediate medic, he is fine now let’s go to the consult room...” he said.

“what….” Menaka was shocked to hear this. She felt like loosing her balance.

“Nothing to worry madam. He is all good. Come with me..”

He walked out of the room and Menaka followed.

They reached the consultant room. Ayan was lying in the bed and college duty nurse was talking with him.. Menaka quickly reached to him and asked what happened dear.

“Nothing to worry mam. He is fine “ nurse replied to her.

Ayan looked at his mother and smiled. Menaka smiled back

“There is a small fracture in his left hand, but not a big concern. We have band aged him and he will be ok in two weeks..” You should bring him here after two weeks for the checkups. Now you can take him to home.” Nurse said to Menaka.

“Thank you sister. You have taken care of him well.” Menaka looked at the nurse and smiled.

She took the medical reports from Nurse and took Ayan back to home. On the way back she brought some cookies and fruits which were his favorites…
They reached home and she took him to bed and asked him to take rest and call her for anything.

She made a cup of coffee and gave him and once he completed his snacks, she told him to get some sleep and came out.

She reached her room remembering all the incidents happened earlier that day.

She never thought such things would happen again in her life.

I did not expect the relationship, which started as a small affair to slip into physical and sexual relation so quickly… she said herself.

I should stop all these and need to focus on my family. I should keep Sushil away as soon as possible.

Thoughts came into her mind and she lied on bed to take a nap…

Menaka opened her eyes, reached out, picked up mobile, looked at the time and it was going to be six o’clock.

She got up from the bed. She made a coffee and came to check Ayan. She waked him up. And took him to the hall.

Both of them started to have coffee.

Suddenly the calling bell rang outside.

She opened the door and it was Sushil. He smiled looking at her. Menaka made a smile on her face and welcomed him inside.

Sushil came inside and saw Ayan with bandages.

“Hey what happened. What is this..?”

“I fell down in college uncle.”

“Oh… are you ok, feeling any pain…”

‘No uncle I am fine.”

Menaka came near them.

“Principal called me today morning and asked to reach college. I wasn’t aware this was the reason. Anyway, he is fine not much injury.”

Sushil looked at her with a sad face.

“You sit down I can take something to drink…”

Having said that, she went to the kitchen and Sushil sat on the sofa looking at her shaky walk.

When she bent down to give him tea, she realized that his gaze was on her breasts... She adjusted her saree and sat near Ayan.

Sushil was looking at her with a smile and Menaka seemed a shyness facing him. Every now and then he would look at her breasts and lips and Menaka had a hard time holding back her emotions…

After a while she said you both talk let me finish my works and went to kitchen.

Sushil and Ayan started talking. He told jokes and made him happy.

Sushil Went to the kitchen. Menaka was busy in the kitchen.

“Do you need any of my help?'” He just stood there and asked.

“If you come to drink water, go drink water. 'I have a lot of work to do here.
'If you stay here, none of my work will be done,” said Menaka

Menaka realized that his eyes were on her back and chest….

Sushil stood in her back and sniffed her hair.

“I like this smell and that's why I said I could help you here…” he whispered

“If you help me like this, none of my work will be done today” she said with a laugh.

“What is the reason for that laugh madam?”

“Nothing”

“Ha, say it madam.  Please.”

“'I've got a good helper,' she said with a chuckle. “Did you come to help me or to smell me? ” She asked jokingly…

“A helper with whole eyes to look after everything” he said.

“I know where the whole eyes were today. peeking at my breasts through the gap of my blouse….” She gave a pinch to his fleshy hands

For a moment Menaka stood still.  Suddenly she regained consciousness… Menaka woke up suddenly from some paradise and shook his hand

Menaka had nothing to say.

“I understand your silence.  You think everything I said is true now, doesn’t it?”

He grabbed her by the abdomen and held Menaka close to his body,

After regaining consciousness for a moment, Menaka moved away from him and stared at him without looking at his face…

They did not say anything for a while.

With that Sushil realized that no more action can be performed today.  He stood with a sad look on his face.


“Ok Madam, sorry..” saying this Sushil left her flat.

At night Menaka called Prakash and she told the accident happened to Ayan.
Prakash talked with Ayan and he consolidated him. He told Ayan to take rest and obey Menaka and don’t give headaches to mother.
They both talked for a while and Ayn left to his bed.

Menaka and Prakash chatted for some more time. He said he wont be able to come to home soon as he has joined in a new team and there is a lot of works to do.

Menaka was disappointed hearing this.

She said to Prakash that this was the time they needed him he most but he is not available. She also said she misses him in all ways and needed his presence badly.
Prakash said he will try to come back soon after completing the project.

Two days passed and Sushil didn’t came to them…

Both Ayan and Menaka missed him.
Menaka thought he was a relief to her and Ayan in the situation but if she give him more space it will lead to other problems.
But if he comes it would be good for Ayan too.
She was in confusion whether to allow him take space more or not.

Anyway in this situation they needed his presence for a comfort. Prakash told that he wont be able to come home soon and will be unavailable for the coming weeks as he is busy with work. It was like a lonely feeling for both of them…
