Chapter 6: Love, Death & Resurrection
Inside the Taxi - After disconnecting the phone, Anju lean back to car seat. She felt like losing the soil under her feet. She knows that Bobby told from an outsider observation but there is something happened behind her. Whether I ignored or forgive or scared to doubt? Anju has found some suspicious act of Naveen but she never took it serious. Due to blood pressure increases, she felt heaviness in head. Anju pressed her head with finger. When she looked front, she found the driver looking at her through rearview mirror. She saw a kind & worried look rather than regular staring at her body. Madam. Are you alright? Do you want to stop somewhere in between? Driver asked. No. I am absolutely ok. Anju said OK madam. Driver said. He continues to drive. Anju saw him checking in regular intervals. Anju saw a worry in his face. You don’t worry. I am alright. You drop me as early as possible. Anju said. Please don’t misunderstand me by looking at you through mirror. I was told by my boss that you are very special guest and should take good care. Driver said. I misplaced by ATM card and left without money. My friend Dr. Bobby arranged this vehicle for me. Probably, Bobby is your boss friend. Anju said. Oh!!! That’s the reason. I wondered why he was so particular about you. No wonder you become a very special guest. My boss respects Bobby and always talks about him. He was waiting for doing some favor to Bobby. So are the special friend of Bobby, I guess. Driver said with a cunning smile and excited tone. Anju didn’t ask him about the reason for smiling but when he continues to smile. She asked. Why you are so excited after knowing me as Bobby’s friend? Anju asked. I was working in Abu Dhabi. I transferred to Dubai in last month only. Our company has the contract for supplying cars Bobby sir’s hospital official use. My duty was to drive the car for outstation traveling of Hospital staffs. Dr. Bobby was my regular passenger. He is one of the best human being as well as a doctor, I ever met. He is a blessed doctor. That is the reason patients are standing in queue for getting his appointment. He is going vacation next month. My uncle’s daughter is suffering from heart problem, he assured to meet her and do consultation. It is not because there are no good doctors in our place but only few peoples will get the magic power like God. I believe that she will be alright after getting consulted by him. I was excited due to meeting his special friend. Driver said What did Bobby tells about me to you? Anju asked with curiosity. After joining the clinic belongs to same hospital chain, she heard about the staffs in her clinic admiring Bobby. Due to anger against Bobby for ruing the plans to convince her parent, she never liked the comments about him. Her aim & persistence is to become a good doctor than him. She never interested in seeking the help of Bobby for finding a job but by obeying Naveen’s word, she asked his help. Another reason was to hurt Bobby for betraying the friendship and taking advantage of her parent’s respect on him. Since her joining in the clinic, she started looking for another job due to suffocation of working in a referral job. She also felt that Bobby is taking that advantage of it. Why you are curious? Are you enjoying the conversation? You considered his as enemy. What has changed in one day? How Bobby became your favorite again in one day? Are you really angry with him or still holding the feelings for him? Several questions flash in Anju’s mind. Anju tried to find the answer by herself. You started liking Bobby after couple of months after joining the college. You always felt comfortable with Bobby and seek his presence. An undefined love has generated in your mind. You are really worried in gigging your mind for finding an answer but maybe your mind was ready to hear from Bobby. You can’t deny the truth that you expected Bobby to express it and got disappointed due to lack f response from him. Without expressing, you enjoyed his touches and always seek a lovely hug from him. You never want him to go Delhi but your ego didn’t allow telling. You want him to stay back even while forcing Bobby to go Delhi. You really felt hurt & loneliness after he went. You missed him very much but your ego never allowed telling him. You started finding the happiness with Naveen & Deepa and slowly moved to another era of life. Many times you compare the care given by Naveen with Bobby and slowly you find Naveen better than Bobby. It is true that you couldn’t accept the of Bobby’s relationship with Deepa at first place but later doesn’t bothered. You forget Bobby and started enjoying the new friendship. It was colorful and happy. Slowly, you realized your love was just an infatuation. Madam. What are you thinking? Driver asked. Driver voice made her to come out of thinking about past. Oh!!! Sorry I was…. Continue what you were saying.. Anju said. Ok…..During one of my journey with my boss & his family, his wife was discussing about having an alliance with their daughter to Bobby sir. My Boss replied her that he has discussed the same with Dr. Bobby. Instead to refusing the proposal, Dr. Bobby convinced my boss by explaining about his love of life. Hearing the intensity of his love, I also wondered because no one can reject my boss daughter. She is very beautiful. But now, I am not wondering why he rejects his daughter. Please don’t misunderstand this middle age person word. You are extremely beautiful and elegant women. You both are perfect couples. Driver said. Seeing the excitement & happiness in the driver face, Anju didn’t correct him. You always had a hidden anger against him for ignoring your love but after Naveen enters your life, you never have any feelings for him. Are you pretend to be like that or truly doesn’t have any feelings? Why you double think about the correctness of your relationship with Naveen when your parent told about fixing marriage with Bobby. Whom you loved? Bobby or Naveen, several questions came in her mind. Anju thought for a second by closing her eyes. Naveen’s face came. She smiled. Yes. You love him more than anyone in this world. You should be happy in getting your best friend back to your life. I should help Naveen in getting out of mess as well as prevent him from doing any wrong step. Next aim should be your parent. Anju decided. Car reached the destination. Driver also came out from car. Thank you. Anju said. It is my pleasure to accompany you. You stay with your parent? Driver asked. No. I stay with my husband. Anju said with a smile. She walked towards her building without waiting see the reaction of the driver. Her anger on Naveen has vanished. Suddenly she got the call from Naveen. Few hours before: Naveen reached Anju’s hospital 15 minutes ahead of normal pick up time. He saw Ahmed going out with foreign officials. He got a sudden idea of giving a punishment to Anju for pushing him & hitting him last night. Naveen drove the car from the parking area of hospital to public parking area. After parking the car outside the hospital premises, he keeps an eye on all cars going in and out. He knows that she has left with no money, he want her to wait and get worried. Earlier Naveen was called by his uncle to office, due to a claim came from CID department for submitting the supporting documents related to an ongoing investigation. Uncle took the CID officials to his auditor office. Naveen is assigned to assist auditors in submitting the relevant supporting to CID’s. Naveen’s company is handling the advertisement portfolio of Defendant Company. CID’s wanted some of the supporting accounting documentation from Naveen’s company related to doubtful entries in the defendant company. The list is handed over to auditors by security officer and Naveen job is to assist the auditors by delivering the supporting documents from office records kept in stores. Naveen was advised to stay back with auditor till the completion of investigation. When he found the process will take time to finish, he left the office by giving the reason of dropping his wife by assuring his return within 30 minutes of their call. While waiting, he got call from his father. Hello Father, Did you check it? Naveen asked. Yes. She is correct. The property is in her grandfather name. There is no point in convincing her to file a case. It is better to get some money from her father. You try in that angle. Father said. I don’t think it possible. She is stubborn, she will not ask. Naveen said. Create situation, which makes her become weak. She will do anything for you. It is proven from the time of marriage. Use her love on you. I don’t have to advise you. I know my son very well. We love our daughter in law but we care you more. Don’t think that you are doing anything wrong. You also have the right in her share. You just were taking a precaution for your future. Father said. Yeah!! I will. Naveen said. Naveen & father started discussing all possibilities and didn’t realize the time. When Naveen looked at the watch, he realized its 30 minutes passed. When Naveen told about last night incident, his father supports his action for teaching her a lesson. He disconnected the line with father and called Anju. Hai Naveen. I was worried. Why you didn’t take my phone? She started telling about the trouble she faced. I was with auditor. Due to security officer investigation going, I was not allowed to pick the phone. Naveen said. I reached home. Anju said. How? Naveen asked with disappointed tone. He didn’t found her going out. Bobby arranged a car for me. Anju said. Naveen felt angry on Bobby for making his plan fails. Oh!! You have only problem with me having friendship with him. If you want his help there is no issues for you. Naveen said by making fun of her. There were lot of confusions happen Naveen. I will tell you after coming home. Come fast. Anju replied in calm voice. Ok. Naveen said OK but he got worried. What time you reach home? Anju asked. I will be very late. I am not sure about the finishing time. CIDs are at audit office. I can leave only after they left. Naveen said. He disconnected the phone. Anju reminded about Bobby’s word about Naveen’s short cuts to become rich. She got a fear inside her. She called Uncle. Hai Uncle. Anju said. Hai Anju daughter, how’s new hospital and atmosphere? Uncle asked. Good. Good team. We are opening in next week. Anju said. I thought of meeting you at hospital along with Naveen. We are together till his car entered your hospital premises. I have few other appointments. I will definitely come and meet in your workplace. Tell me any reason for your call? Uncle said. Please don’t tell Naveen about my call. I was worried why he sits with CID’s? Anju asked. Ha-ha…...He is not sitting with CID’s. Don’t worry. My auditors are sitting with instigations team. His work is to assist our auditor by proving the documents from our store. Whether he left after dropping you or still at home? Uncle asked. Why you asked uncle? Anju asked without understanding anything. Why? Anju, he promised to return by 7.30 while leaving to pick you at 4.30 Pm. We left together at 4.30. I allow him to go out from auditor office due your dropping case. You should not depend on him always. Keep your ATM card with you always as well as keep enough money for travelling in alternative transportation. Uncle told. Ok Uncle. Anju said. I will call and check where he reached. Uncle said and disconnected the phone. What is happening? Your happiness is again turning down in few seconds? Why he told lie? Anju got tensed. Anju felt her legs are getting weak. She reached the flat and walked towards sofa to sit. Anju got slipped and fell on floor. Luckily she fell and sat in her legs. Anju felt her legs and bumps started pain due to hitting the floor hard. She got up with great difficulty. She can see the oil in the floor. She felt disappointed with the careless nature of Naveen. When she got up, she found the ladies hair in the floor. It was a colored hair and was sure that is not belongs to her. Anju’s body started shivering with fear. She took the hair and walked towards kitchen to put in dustbin. When she put the hair, she found another hair wrapped around the tissue. She picks the tissue in hand. She felt little wet. She put it back. When her finger got sticky feeling, she smells her finger. She smells male semen in tissue. She went and picks the tissue again and started checking. Few parts of tissue become hard. It is male semen. What is happened in this flat during her absence? Anju went and fell into bed. She forgets about her pain. She tried to control her emotions but could not hold for long. Tears rolled out from her eyes. She saw Bobby calling in her mobile. She didn’t pick the call. When the mobile rings, she wiped her tears and picked the call. Yes Bobby. Anju’s tried to speak normal. What happen? Your voice is breaking. I got slipped. Lucky back didn’t hit the floor but legs are paining. Anju said We both are doctors. We can understand the difference between body and mental pain. Bobby said. Anju remains silence. Where is Naveen? He is with auditor. Anju said Has food? Bobby asked. No. I will cook something later. Anju said. Bobby was silent for few minutes. Are you there? Anju asked. Yes. Sorry. I ordered pizza for Naveen & you. It’s Friday tomorrow. Have some food and take a painkiller. Sleep tight. You will be alright by tomorrow. Bobby said. Why you took this trouble. I would have ordered. Anju said. I enjoy this trouble. Don’t be silly. Just take rest. Bobby said. Naveen is calling. Anju said. Bye. Bobby told. Anju took the call of Naveen. I am sorry Anju. I was angry for silly reason. My work will take another one hour to finish. I will come home. Naveen said. Naveen got the hint of Anju spoke with uncle during their conversation. He called for safe side. Naveen, can you come fast. I got slipped and fell down. It paining very bad. Anju said. You have the pain killer in home. Just take one and take rest. I can come only after the formalities finished. Naveen said Anyone came this flat today? Anju asked. Naveen got shocked. Due to hurry, he couldn’t double check the house. Whether she got any evidence of Sanaya presence? What to tell? Suddenly he got the idea. Yes. Saleh came. Naveen said. Is he alone? Anju asked. Can we talk after coming home? Are you questioning me? I am in middle of auditor and security officer men. Naveen asked in irritated tone. I just asked. Please come fast. Anju said. Please try to understand Anju. Naveen said. Phone got disconnected. Anju felt like alone. Her mind went to similar instance happen during college days. The care she got from Naveen during those days. Her mind started worrying. Whether he doesn’t love me like before? She never felt any sadness in Naveen voice. Anju’s started recollecting the golden memories.

She can find more pain in Naveen’s face than her. Anju thought about meeting Naveen for first time. She didn’t like him in first place due to a clear Romeo character written in his face. After several meetings, she becomes comfortable due to any such experience from him. She still keeps a distance with Naveen. After Deepa joined, Naveen started coming to meet her and Anju also joined with them. Slowly three of them become good friends or in other way the friendship with Naveen and Deepa helps her to come of gloomy life after Bobby left. Hearing about Naveen from Deepa as well as self experience changed her perception about Naveen. How you got slipped yesterday? Deepa was telling that you were coming down by dreaming. Naveen immediately held her hand to prevent from falling but that grip was not enough. Without any hesitation, Naveen held her waist and managed her body to bring straight. Anju felt a current passed her body. She felt like her body is safe inside a strongest and safest hand. When Naveen invite Deepa to take over her from him, she asked him to help her. Within couple of steps, Anju become normal. Are you alright? Naveen asked. Yes. Anju said. Naveen immediately took the hand from waist and extend his support by holding her hand. I am sorry for holding your waist. I was no idea about what to do while you falling. Naveen apologize. I am thankful for your support. Never mind about your hand. Anju said. Deepa walked with them by holding her from other side. She was holding her medicine in hand. When they reached near the stairs, Naveen took the medicine from Deepa and told her to support Anju. When Naveen was taking his hand he doubted an attempt made by Anju to hold back. Deepa hold Anju for climbing the stairs. Naveen walked behind both with medicines. Naveen got great opportunity to release his pressure of acting. His eyes fell on her body. He enjoyed every movement of her body. Naveen pressed the ass of Deepa by imagining Anju’s ass. A sudden strength generated by Anju and got up from bed before uncle touches her body. She saw a disappointment in his eyes. After having dinner, she walked for some time with the help of Deepa and Sherin. By 10.30 everyone went to bed. Anju also went to bed. She thought of calling her parent but didn’t call them. She knows that she will get shouting from them for being careless. Falling is in the blood of Anju, she has many incidents in past. She remembered the time she joined the PG. Everything was new experience for her. She loved Aunt & Uncle like her parent. Anju was staying in room alone. Anju faces the back pain in regular intervals due to after effects of previous accidents. She applies a gel and gets relief during back pain. One day while other roommates went to their home, Anju suffered back pain after reaching room due to long time standing in lab. Aunty came upstairs due to her absence for dinner. What happen?
