I don't know to be honest. I really have no idea. I am in the dark as you are     . Sometimes I just throw in elements in the story without any specific agenda. First of all, thank you. I saw that painting in an art exhibition once.It was an imitation of course. But nonetheless, I was fascinated by the concept. It's was puzzling. So when I started writing about this chapter I felt that painting would fit the theme of Rahul's approach to seduce Shilpa.

Then I realized I already built Rahul's character that way. A college student hence the cigs, weed, and alcohol. Thank you so much for noticing certain details. I had that cat and dog idea for ages, I think from my teenage. Yes, it was a series of events that build up to that certain moment of Mahesh accepting the cold drink, so as Shilpa. partially   The post about 'pronouns' where Mahesh and Shilpa referred both Ashish and Rahul as 'he' and ended up creating a case of mistaken identity. The idea came in my mind from Christian names. I was amazed by noticing the amount of common first names in the western world. So many "MARY' 'DAVID' 'MICHEAL' etc. I found no variety. Even though its a late update...I fell it is worth waiting for

I wrote some updates earlier this month then forgot to save those word documents and lost the progression. Then I said 'fuck it' and forget about the story in frustration for the majority of the month until republic day holiday came.  .
