Hi all, I continued the original the Dhika - An Innocent Angel story here in this new thread, if in future original author come back he can continue the story there. I hope everyone likes these new updates from me. Also, I have written one part which you all can find in the original story in 106 tab. Please read that first before reading the below part.
Ten at night in the hotel. Outside was dark. Dhika answered on the bed in the pale blue nightie, one shoulder already low. On the screen it was morning. Half past nine in India. John was at the table.
John: There you are.
John: Night already? How are you? New city. Away from me. People treating you all right?
Dhika: I miss you.
(She meant it. She also did not.)
Actually, she was missing his cock. She was horny from the day’s encounters. Scott’s eyes on the wet saree. The bump, and Raj’s lap under her. The hug at the door, his lips on her neck, her breasts crushed to his chest.
(Warm. Guilty. Still smiling at the screen. ?)
Dhika: City is fine. One man at the hall talked too much. Compliments. Standing close. Raj handled it. That’s all.
John: Men do that. Compliments. He stopped. Good. How was the rest?
(The hug. The lap. She kept both behind her teeth. ?)
Dhika: Long day. I’m tired. You?
John: Morning here. I was about to eat.
Sharmi came in from the kitchen. Plates in one hand. A cup of tea in the other. Paratha, still hot. She was already in the house.
The saree was wine-red, thin, gold border. Blouse low. Pallu already off one shoulder. It sat close on her waist and hip. Bangles. Hair not fully done.
Sharmi: Hi, Dhika. He was going to eat alone. I don’t like eating alone at home either. So I came.
She set the plates down and kept the tea. The pallu slipped when she bent. She left it. John looked at the saree, at the shoulder, at the waist. Then he saw Dhika’s face on the screen and looked back at the phone too quickly.
(Dhika felt it. A small anger. Jealousy under it. He had looked. ?)
Sharmi: A client sat on my calendar. Two days. I couldn’t drop it and fly. So you went with Raj, and I stayed.
(Jealous. She knew Sharmi could see it. ?)
Sharmi: Oh. I forgot the breakfast kiss.
Dhika: Aii….. what…. he is MY husband…….
Dhika: Stop…. don’t come closer.
Sharmi only laughed. She had heard that before.
John heard the quiet on the call. He had been caught looking.
John: She came with food. I didn’t tell her to wear that.
Sharmi smiled at the phone, not at him. She stepped in, fixed nothing, and kissed his cheek. Then the corner of his mouth, because Dhika was watching. Her hand stayed on his neck.
(Anger, and heat under it. Sharmi was doing it on purpose. ??)
Dhika: That saree is a lot for nine in the morning.
Sharmi: It feels like nothing on the skin. I wore it because I was coming here, not because I was going to an office. You don’t like it?
She lifted the cup. The reach put her against his arm. She stayed. John did not move her. He was still a little careful with the phone.
John: Enough of her. When you land, I’m taking you for a saree. Not this red. A black one. You’ll wear it once for me and then complain it is too much.
(Her face eased. Anger stayed. Love came back. ❤️)
Dhika: You don’t even know which black.
John: I know the one that makes you shy in the shop. You look like you had water and a meeting. Tell Raj his wife is in my kitchen in a saree, so he should behave in Mexico.
Sharmi, from the side: Tell him if he misses this pallu, he can look at Dhika and suffer. Or he can come home. I’ll still be in it.
Dhika: Both of you, stop.
John: Okay, okay.
He grinned, and did not leave it clean.
John: Fine. No more Raj. You just tell him breakfast was loud, and Sharmi started it. I’ll deny everything.
Sharmi hooked her chin on his shoulder, arms loose around him. The pallu fell across his chest. She saw Dhika still tight, and dropped the joke.
Sharmi: Enough, John. Dhika, Mexico has eyes. Someone would have forgotten his sentence in that hall when you walked in. You have nice curves. Wear the maroon you packed. Let the pallu sit low. Be a little bad. No one there is judging you.
(She almost laughed. Jealousy stayed. The mood did not. ?)
John: There. She made you laugh. I was losing.
Dhika: You weren’t. The room is dark and you two are having breakfast like a show.
(The want from the day was still in her. She kept it behind the joke. ?)
John: Then stay on. Watch the show. Or watch me. Sharmi can eat.
Sharmi, still at his shoulder: I’m eating. You two can be soft. I’ll only interrupt if he stares again.
John glanced at the red pallu and back at the phone, quicker than he needed to.
John: I’m not staring. Dhika, the nightie is slipping. Fix it or don’t. I like it either way.
Dhika: John.
John: What? I’m your husband. She’s the problem.
Sharmi: I’m the breakfast. You’re the one who looked. Dhika, ignore him. Two days and you take him back. Till then sleep. Or don’t. He’ll still be on the phone if you stay.
Dhika’s breath caught. (Missing him. Alone in the room. ??) She did not put her hands under the cloth. She sat up. The shoulder slipped. She left it.
Dhika: I miss your mouth.
John: I know. I miss you too. Come back.
Sharmi, off the screen: Eat, John. She’s allowed to miss you. I’m allowed to be here.
(She almost smiled. The heat stayed. ?)
John: Good night.
John: It’s morning here. Sleep when you can.
Dhika: Good morning.
She ended the call.
She was about to put the phone aside. WhatsApp lit. Two notifications. The twins. She was already tired, already near sleep. She did not open the chats. She set the phone face down.
Ten o’clock. The nightie felt like less than the red saree, and still too much. Two days. The hug and the lap stayed in the dark with her. In India, Sharmi’s pallu was still off her shoulder over the plates and the tea……..
