Thriller Stretched Between Danger

Dr. Ananya Sharma was the kind of woman who made hospital corridors quieter when she walked past.

Twenty-eight, fair-skinned to the point of almost luminous under fluorescent lights, with a soft baby face that somehow made the heavy, full breasts and the pronounced curve of her hips look even more forbidden. She had that rare combination: the innocent, slightly rounded cheeks and large dark eyes of a girl barely out of her twenties, set on a body that was pure mature woman - narrow waist, heavy, high tits that strained against whatever blouse she wore, and an ass that filled out a saree like it had been dbangd specifically to torture every man who saw her from behind.

She mostly wore sarees to work. Soft cottons and georgettes in pastels or deep jewel tones, always with a blouse that was just a little too fitted, the neckline dipping just enough to show the beginning of that deep cleavage when she leaned over a file or a patient chart. The pallu would sometimes slip, and she’d casually hitch it back up with one hand while the other held a stethoscope, completely unaware (or so it seemed) of the way male colleagues, interns, even a few senior consultants would freeze for half a second.

Her husband, Rohan, worked in Dubai. Finance. Six months on, one month off. They had been married three years. She still wore the mangalsutra and the thin gold bangles he had given her, and every night before sleep she video-called him, still in her nightie or sometimes still in the saree she had worn that day, hair loose, face washed clean of makeup so that the soft, almost girlish features were even more pronounced against the mature body beneath.

She was loyal. Painfully, deliberately loyal. She knew how men looked at her. She felt the stares in the cafeteria, the way the new surgical resident’s eyes dropped to her chest when she adjusted her pallu, the way the pharmacist’s voice went slightly husky when she came to collect medicines. She never encouraged it. She smiled politely, kept conversations clinical, went home to an empty flat in Bandra that still smelled faintly of her husband’s cologne from his last visit.

But the body she lived in didn’t care about loyalty. It was young, healthy, and starved for more than hurried video sex and the occasional intense week when Rohan flew back. Some nights she would stand in front of the mirror after a shower, still damp, and just look - cupping the heavy weight of her breasts, turning sideways to see the way her ass curved out, the soft belly that stayed flat but never quite athletic. She would remember the last time her husband had bent her over the edge of the bed, saree still half on, and she would touch herself slowly, guiltily, until she came with his name in her mouth.

Today was no different, except that the new cardiology fellow, Dr. Kabir Malhotra, had been assigned to her floor for the week.

He was tall, quiet, and had the kind of dark, steady eyes that didn’t look away when she caught him staring. When she walked into the consultation room that morning in a cream silk saree with a deep maroon blouse, the pallu dbangd modestly across her chest, she felt his gaze travel from her face down to the soft swell of her breasts, then lower, lingering on the way the silk clung to the heavy curve of her hips and ass before he finally looked back up and said, “Good morning, Dr. Sharma.”

His voice was perfectly professional.

His eyes were not.

Ananya adjusted the pallu a fraction higher, gave him the same polite, slightly distant smile she gave everyone, and opened the first patient file.

She did not notice - or pretended not to notice - the way his gaze dropped again the moment she turned to the computer, the silk of her saree pulling tight across the full, rounded cheeks of her ass as she leaned forward slightly.

The afternoon clinic was running late when the nurse brought in the new patient.

He was a construction worker - mid-thirties, broad-shouldered, skin darkened from years under the sun, hands thick and calloused. He walked with a slight, careful limp and kept one hand pressed low against the front of his trousers, as if trying to shield something. His name was Ramesh. He spoke in a rough, low voice, eyes fixed on the floor more than on her face.

"Pain," he muttered. "Here... and lower. Since two days. Very bad when I sit or walk."

Ananya nodded, professional mask firmly in place. She asked the usual questions - when it started, any injury on site, fever, discharge. He shook his head to most of them, then after a long pause admitted, almost under his breath, that he had been with a woman two nights ago. "She liked it rough... I didn't think..."
