why this low registered members in English section.

guest users are many.

Hello sir

Overall traffic seems like that, when I checked Telugu section there were 72 registered members and 606 Guests.

In English as you specified the percentage of Registered members in total users at a point seems to be 10.75%

More or less similar in Telugu when I checked, it is about 10.62% registered members in the total users at the time

I am pretty new, so I am not really sure, if this is common or not.

To read , you don't need to login. Only to write comments , like you need to login. I am sure most of the guests are registered users only.
In Telugu incest section, even to read you need to login and hence there the registered users count will be high

We need to mandate every guest to login and comment or like atleast once every day otherwise this is becoming like a free service without any value

I agree on the register to read part.
However there should not be any mandate to comment/like once a day/week/ month. This will unnecessary cause spam comments. Not everyone has the time to login here daily specially the working class. People often come here to relax on weekends or late night.

Lastly if the account hasn't logged in for past 1 year then it should be removed from the database.

Yes users are reducing and traffic is going down. New stories are also reducing. This forum introduced very strict rules on interfaith which was most popular. Then they deleted a lot of stories which discouraged writers and readers.

Every one love stories , but not at the cost of degrading the other community their sentiments and demeaning their cultural activities.

There should be checks and balances.

Agree. Are you aware of any new website which has come. May be the traffic is shifting the new sites. OTT platforms(specially for erotic stuff) can also be a reason for less traffic.

It's the other way my dear

The traffic is good.
But registered users are less.

If these registered users are less they will not participate in reply/comments.

In that case less motivation for the writers.

That's my point.

I’m not sure about the idea of making stories available only to registered users, even for reading, as it could negatively affect overall site traffic. If traffic decreases, this could, in turn, reduce ad revenue, making it more difficult for the management to sustain the platform.  For that reason, I won’t comment further on this suggestion.  I do not know much about that.

That said, I do feel strongly that members who read should engage in some way. Whether by leaving a like or, better yet, posting a comment if they enjoyed or disagreed with something. Without that interaction, it becomes increasingly discouraging for writers to continue.

As a relatively new writer who started only a couple of months ago, I can share my own experience. I began a story titled The Swamij a few days ago. In the first two days, I received wonderful, encouraging comments and likes, but after that, the engagement dropped off completely. Since then, I’ve felt as though I’m simply posting updates without knowing if anyone is actually following along. The excitement I had at the beginning, to develop the story in the best possible way, is gradually fading. I’m still pushing myself to provide regular updates, but it’s not easy to maintain that same enthusiasm without proper feedback. After all, feedback is the only reward a writer can expect and receive for the effort and time they invest.

I believe this may be the reason why many writers start with good intentions but quickly lose momentum. Some stories even go unnoticed before their central idea has a chance to unfold. Naturally, this discourages writers and reduces the overall stories we get to see on the platform, as others have also pointed out.

Again, I am new here and this is my first time participating in a public discussion, so if I have said anything wrong or out of place, please excuse me.

For a quick look at story updates, most readers prefer mobile access, and if one wants to login through mobile, just a click at the login button results in opening a new tab with ads, and one has to try three times before login page actually appears. I understand revenue from ads keep the lights on here, but an easier login could enable more registered users. Focussing more on displayed ad, rather than click responsive ads can ease many mobile users.

Secondly, for writers, we have likes and comments to keep them encouraged. If you can device some sort of counter for readers, like most story readers, continuous readers, most like and comment providers, anything of this sort, people will get encouraged to register, login and look out for their achievement.

Penny for thought.

By registering you can read the stories from Inst & Other Stories English section.  and  ईन्सेस्त & Other Stories Hindi section.

which has nearly 500 stories and  more than 1250 stories respectively.

Didnot get what you mean by "bookmark"  , whether you register or not any one can bookmark a page in their browser.

To avoid too many ad pop ups you can use default theme

Yes, its frustrating to notice luke warm response after initial buzz fizzles out.  Most readers are lethargic to even click a Like button.  this is how free service works !!!

You write to satisfy yourself, not for others

I also hope more readers and new writers come to this site but there is an issue which I got exposed to some 3 months ago by writer novelistcasanova he once stopped writing in this site and was feeling disheartened as he had to wait for many hours and even a day to approve his story when he starts it even though he's been writting great stories like mom's kabaddi challenge and many more since years... So I hope you solve this issue

admin ji,  since many are complaining we are not getting many new stories, we should approve the new stories on priority, i can understand the load on the admin team, but this should be given highest priority..  that too for writers with high reputation

thank you
