10 pics limit per post

There's a limit of 10 pics per post - and oddly that includes emoticons in the total count as well.
I believe this is a bit too restrictive and I would have wanted this limit waived. Any suggestions?

Let us create a test page 10 pics per post , like that 10 posts , amounts to 100 pics in that page .

We will see how much time will it take to load that page completely for our members.

My settings are 50 posts per page which means 500 pics in single page........
