A man in his early 40s dressed in a grey nehru-type suit turned and came forward. It was Tushar, Mahesh’s boss. He was very happy to see them both. He came and hugged ,”Oh Mahi how are you man? How was your trip?”. He replied,”Good sir. It was little tiring but good.” Tushar turned towards Ritu and said,”Hi Ritu how do you do?” She replied,”Very fine”. He then quickly glanced her exposed midriff area and found that her navel was covered.

But before Ritu could adjust, Tushar came with a bucket of ice cubes and askes her if needs some ice for her drink. She said yes. Its your ashram. Your headache. Not mine.” DMS replied ,”Ritu please understand. No males will be there during the puja. You will be wearing jewellery. I have to do this puja by this weekend. Also if you do this puja you will also be benefitted.” Ritu asked ,”Really! how?” DMS replied ,”The female who does this puja gains the right to receive a power. Usually no one is provided this. Raghav was fine with it but did not react. Madhu on the other hand said,” Swamiji, they are our neighbours as well as our friends too. They have not only accompanied us but they have helped us reach here in time. Otherwise, it would have not been possible for us to come here. I request you to include them in the pooja”. Raghav was stunned and gave an angry look at her. Ritu and Mahesh did not know what to respond. The HP said,”Ok. The lady has requested. Please you two also can join the pooja”. Ritu resisted but Madhu compelled and they accepted. All the arrangements were made.The HP announced,” After 5 mins, we will start the Kaala pooja. This pooja is for the welfare of the family and children. I hear the other couple here are yet to have a baby, so following this pooja , we will conclude with the kamala pooja which both couples have to do for the motherhood fertility in the women. Both the poojas will happen continuously without a break, so I request you all not to interrupt the pooja inbetween. All mobile phones to be put aside as well. Om!!!”. By 10.30am, the pooja started with all of them sitting around a huge omagundam near the deity. The HP said mantras one after another and made the guests to repeat it. This pooja happened for about one and a half hours.With the next pooja, came the surprise for everyone. The HP announced,”Now we are going to conclude with the nabhi kamala pooja. In this, one after another, the woman will come and lie down, and a relative of the woman, will being doing pooja on her thoppul .Since the thoppul is the connection to the mother’s womb, it is considered very much sacred. When it is worshipped, it brings immense goodness to the woman. So I request one of the woman to come forward to move her saree and show her thoppul to the sunlight”.
