Linda still thinks for few more seconds and asked

Praveen: Any financial tensions? I have good contacts. I can refer for better salaried job for both. What is his qualification?
Linda: Master in business administration but he is not doing any job related to his qualifications. He was working in similar profile in Mumbai but he resigned after our marriage and shifted to Bangalore.
Praveen: Any threat from your family side?
Linda becomes silence for few seconds.
Praveen: If it personal. Don’t tell. I can see some tension going in your mind. If you find comfortable, you share it. You will get some relief. I can see you are carrying so much of tensions. Tell to someone and release the pressure.

Linda started telling her issues. In-laws always blame the sudden marriage for their son debts and career loses. Reality was he took loan and started trading in share market with those funds. He made lose out of that. In order to cover the lose he borrowed more funds and ended up in huge debt which is out of manageable with his salary. Vijay told his parents about his shifting from Mumbai is due to the treat from influenced Linda’s family but the reality was his debts. Linda never told the truth in front of her in-laws for keeping her husband pride. No one from her family threatened, chased or not even bothered to call after the incident. The situation becomes very worst in Mumbai up to the level of asking Linda to sleep with them.  First few months were nice but afterwards Vijay started drinking daily and even his friends started coming home and drinking. Vijay backed Linda initially but later he also joined with his parents. They know that Linda has no place to go. They kept the image on her as she is a burden. She got little relief after her mother started contacting her. Slowly Vijay and his family started pressuring to ask her shares of father property. Asking that will be the end of Linda’s last self respect.
Praveen can feel her crying inside while she was speaking. When she gets deeper into the problems with Vijay and lack of his support and cruel behaviour, internal weeping becomes high. Praveen took this opportunity. He took one hands from her palm and hold her hands above her elbow. Praveen:  Linda. Pick the call or keep it in silence. Others will get disturbed.

She clicks the phone and made the ringtone in silent. One calls ends, she change the mode to vibration mode and kept in purse. This time she guided the Praveen’s hands and bring her into same as earlier then gave him a tight hug. Praveen palm was above her left boob. He has money for his daily booze and other stuffs. I am sick and tired of this life.

Praveen: Linda calm down. Don’t think your life will be going as same forever. Now you got a new anytime approachable friend. Trust me.

Linda: I am grateful for your kindness. My life will be same after reaching Bangalore. You also will be busy with your life. I am used to my life. I never forget the time spend with you.

Praveen: Is it over?

Praveen: What about your plan? How long you been in Mumbai?

Linda: Honestly. I planned for few days in Mumbai.

Praveen: Oh!! Really. I thought that you had very short trip. Return after marriage.

Linda: Well not. I planned to stay with one of my old friend near to my home. She got married and staying in Borivali. I will go to her home today and stay overnight then will attend the marriage tomorrow afterwards couple of days in Mumbai. Want to meet some old friends. Just chill out.

Praveen: You will be staying in your friend home?

Linda: Really not decided. This is really depends up on the situations at her home. Neither will be in any women hostel. I don’t think, I will find difficult to get room. The only advantage got me from marriage.

Praveen: Great. I hope Vijay is not bad. He gave you freedom to enjoy.

Linda: Uff!!! I know how to handle him?

Praveen: So you got plans? I think well planned.

Linda: No need too much to plan. Simply needs to tell him that my father wants to meet me after the marriage rush over or didn’t get chance due to speak with him.

Praveen:  What you told about your stay?

Linda: He also knows my friend. He saw her with me during our romantic time. I told him about my stay in her home if situation not well in my home. He is ok with it. What about your plans?

Praveen:  Today, I have nothing to do. Tomorrow, I have meeting with my Indian client as well picking my foreign delegate from airport in evening.  If the deal went through, I am done by day after tomorrow.  

Linda: Where you stay?

Praveen: My client has arranged my stay. I didn’t ask him. His person will be there to pick me at bus station by 10 am. If I know you earlier, I would have booked the hotels in Borivali. Anyway after knowing you, I decided to plan something like that. Well call me any time. We can catch up in evening if you are free.

Linda: Sorry. I can’t promise. I don’t know what is going to happen?

Linda: Hey what happen? Are you hurt?

Praveen: No. Never. I was thinking about the program to kill time.

Linda: I really would love to spend time with you. I was regular visitor to her home. Aunty was very nice to me. After my marriage, Her mother was the one who abuse me a lot. She didn’t let my friend to meet me afterwards. If she knows am with her. She will create big problems. Now her in-laws went to their native town. No one will inform aunty. Praveen: You didn’t call her? I didn’t see it.

Linda: Her mother was with her yesterday. Today morning they will drop aunty in home and will pick me from railway station. I don’t want her to come all the way to Chembur. I messaged her and she replied. They will drop aunty back in Vasai and will reach railway station. We can catch up after your works get done. Shall we fix our return trip together?

Praveen: I guess it is too early to schedule it. Keep in touch. We are almost reaching the destination.

Praveen called someone and talked.

Praveen: Well our journey is not end here. I am also on your way. I will drop you in Andheri/ Bandra station.

Linda: That’s great. Thank you.  

As soon as Praveen called the driver number, Benz car reached near to bus stop. Praveen invited Linda and carried her bag to car.  After they get in to the car, Praveen called multiple peoples.

Linda: What you exactly do?

Praveen: I am a negotiator. That’s the simple terms. We do business constancy. We give solutions to troubled companies or business person then we charges them for our service. How about your friend? Still not called?

Linda: Yeah. I am worried. I send her message. She said, will call in few minutes

Praveen: ok.

Linda: Yes she is calling.

Friend: Linda. Did you told your mother about your stay in my home?

Linda: Yes. I messaged her. She was worried. I know she we will be relived after know that am with you.

Friend: Very good. Your mother told the exact dialogue to my mother.  You mother was just down to our home while dropping my mother in Vasai. She called me immediately. I told that am not aware of anything. Now she is making the plan to come to our home in Borivali and will go together for your brother marriage. You don’t know how I made her convince to go to Vasai. She always had the plan to go for marriage from here only. Sorry don’t worry. I called my friend. You can stay in her flat. Hope you don’t mind.

Linda: Anyway, I was also about to tell you. My office friend father and mother are staying alone in Mumbai.  They were in Bangalore and very attached to me. Uncle and aunty were very nice to me and always welcome me to their home. They have already called me to stay with them. I refused with great difficulty due to our commitment. Don’t worry. I will stay with them. We will meet tomorrow in church.

Friend: Hope you are not angry.

Linda: never. I will call you after get settled.

Praveen find her very tensed. Suddenly he got a call and got busy in phone. Linda was thinking about her plans. Suddenly driver asked him about any other alternative destination to drive. Praveen told him to go to the hotel. Linda was trying to initiate talk with him but he was busy in his phone. Car reached the entrance. Praveen was still talking to someone. He indicated the driver to open the luggage space. All of sudden, bell boys came and opened the door them greeted them. Linda was not expecting this. She was stuck for few seconds by she didn’t try to embrace Praveen. Praveen nodded her to walk with him. He reached the reception and told his name. They checked and verified his full name. He handed over his id.

Receptionist: How many people?

Praveen: Two.

Receptionist: Sir, I need other person id.
