Varun felt at that moment as if the world has collapsed around him and he was the last man standing. He felt like throwing up. He felt all the emotions anger jealousy hurt. Suddenly aditi looked back and gestured him to join them. As he walked towards them he dint know what to say. Words just came out of his mouth.
Varun: i am sorry dev about last night. I shudnt have said what i said. I am really sorry.
Dev: its allright varun. Rather i am sorry for what i did. I shudnt have abandoned you on the highway.
Saying this dev hugged varun and he hugged him back.
Aditi: so everything is back to normal. By the way i forgot to ask how are you feeling now samar.
Varun was more hurt now. First of all he thought all that hospital story was a lie and now his own wife was mocking him for beleiving into that story. As aditi asked samar about his health there eyes met for a brief moment and there was some naughtiness in both there eyes and unknown to aditi and samar, varun had caught that naughtiness in there eyes but he felt helpless.
Dev: so varun we have decided to go back as martha had to leave urgently. What do you think?
Varun: may be both you and samar can go back and i and aditi will cone back in couple of days. Oh and yes ofcourse i will pay for the remaining tariff.
Aditi: actually it was my idea to go back as i have lot of stuff to complete in the office.
Varun was shocked hearing aditis answer. They had come to enjoy there second honeymoon and varun had barely touched aditi all along there stay.
Varun: well if you want to go back. What can i say. I wanted to stay back bcos of you to spend some time with u.
Aditi: oh varun!!! I am so sorry. But as you know bcos of this order we have piles of work in the office. May be we can come back some other time.
Varun: yeah maybe......
There was sarcasm in his tone and all three aditi dev and samar understood the sarcasm. There was an awkward silence between the four and then samar spoke.
Samar: ok lets eat our breakfast. Then we will head for the airport.
And all of them headed for the plates. Very lavish buffet was laid and everyone had there plates full other then varun who wasnt feeling hungry att all. He just took some apples and just had one peice of apple which he had difficulty to swallow. He was feeling betrayed. All 3 of them were gorging on the breakfast. In between samar and aditi were locked in eye glances and a certain naughtiness which only varun cud see but cud not do anything about it.
Dev: i will head to reception to clear the dues. You three get the luggage.
Aditi: well it will take me atleast 30 minutes to pack all the things.
Samar: its ok. It is now 10 am. Our flight is at 1 pm. So you can take your time.
Dev: ok then we all will meet at reception in 30 minutes.
And dev headed towards the reception and the remaining 3 headed towards the lift. As they were heading towards the lift varun shoe laces untied and he bent down to tie them. As he was tying the laces he saw samar and aditi entering the lift. He looked into samars eyes as if to press the hold button. But he did the opposite and pressed the button which immedeately closed the doors of the lift. As the doors were closing varun looked into aditis eyes who looked as surprised as varun was and then aditi in yurn looked into samars eyes and instantly knew samar did that on purpose and then there was that naughtiness again in there eyes and both of them looked simultaneously at varun. Aditis look was of shock and samar had the same smirk in his eyes and then the lift door closed...
