If you dislike a particular scene in a fictional story, you have every right to criticize it. You can question the logic of the story, the development of the characters, or the author's writing choices. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But what is the need to use a degrading expression like “Once a slut is always a slut” to criticize a female character in a fictional story? Why use a term that demeans women as a whole?

What kind of logic is it to judge all women by placing them on the same scale as a fictional female character? Does your dissatisfaction with one character's actions justify insulting all women?

There is no disagreement that every reader has the right to express their opinion. But shouldn't that right also be exercised with some dignity and responsibility? Are arguments not enough to criticize a story? Why bring degrading words against women into it?

There is a clear difference between criticizing a character's actions and insulting the dignity of women. Understanding that difference is what gives a reader's criticism strength and credibility—not the use of degrading language.
