Adultery My Friend Wants My Mother

In the realm of fiction—specifically within the genre of erotic literature—the notion that "nothing is absurd" and "anything is possible" is only partially true; it is not entirely accurate. While there are no boundaries to human repressed desires or eccentric thoughts within the sphere of fantasy, the effectiveness and acceptability of such material as literature are governed by certain principles.
The application of the "absurd" in erotic fiction, along with its inherent limitations, is discussed below from several perspectives:
1. Freedom of Imagination and Fantasy: Human sexual desire is psychologically complex. In the context of everyday reality, certain acts may be impossible or socially taboo; however, within the realm of fantasy or fiction, both the author and the reader can transcend these boundaries. In stories involving supernatural elements, science fiction, or surrealism, the occurrence of "absurd" events is entirely natural—where intense emotion or metaphorical meaning takes precedence over strict logic.
2. Internal Logic: There is a common adage in literature: "Reality can be strange, but fiction must be meaningful." Even when a story constructs a magical or bizarre world, that world must adhere to its own set of rules or internal logic. If events unfold haphazardly—without any underlying cause or foundation—the reader loses their emotional connection to the narrative, and the text risks becoming nothing more than a collection of meaningless words.
3. Physiological and Psychological Realism: Outside of pure fantasy, if a story—ostensibly set in the world of ordinary human life—depicts physical capabilities, behaviors, or events that contradict medical science or established human psychology, it fails to achieve literary merit. Instead, it may devolve into something cheap or even farcical.
Therefore, while it is true that anything is conceivable in the realm of thought, creating a successful and high-quality erotic narrative requires maintaining "emotional truth" and a consistent internal logic throughout the story. Unreality becomes meaningful only when it expresses a profound emotion or metaphor.
