Adultery Seduction of My Wife Padma (UPDATED 30-DEC-25)
The wind moved gently through the field. Beyond the trees, the narrow river reflected a faint silver line beneath the half-moon. The village lights were distant, and the rustling leaves seemed unusually loud in the silence.
Padma stood beside the small hut, her hands clasped nervously in front of her salwar kameez.
She had agreed to come because Geeta would accompany her. Now Mahesh had taken Geeta away for a walk, leaving Padma alone with the very man she had spent days trying not to think about.
A movement came from behind the bushes.
Rajan appeared, tall and broad-shouldered, wearing a dark shirt and trousers. In his hand was a bouquet of red roses.
For a moment, Padma forgot what she had planned to say.
Rajan: “Padma.”
Padma: “Why did you ask me to come here?”
He stopped a few steps away and held out the flowers.
Rajan: “These are for you.”
Padma looked at the bouquet but did not immediately accept it.
Padma: “You think flowers will solve everything?”
Rajan: “No. I know they won't.”
His unexpected answer unsettled her more than a confident compliment would have.
After a moment, she accepted the bouquet, holding it against herself.
Padma: “I came because I wanted answers. Not because I have agreed to anything else.”
Rajan: “I understand.”
Padma: “And don't try anything like what happened after the college function.”
His expression grew serious.
Rajan: “I shouldn't have ignored you when you asked me to stop. I was wrong.”
Padma looked at him, searching for the familiar arrogance in his face.
Padma: “You should have understood that without me having to say it.”
Rajan: “You're right.”
The admission left her without the argument she had prepared.
They began walking slowly towards the river, keeping some distance between them. The grass brushed against Padma's ankles, and the cool breeze moved loose strands of hair across her cheek.
Rajan: “Do you remember our college days?”
Padma: “Of course I remember them. Not all the memories are pleasant.”
Rajan: “I know.”
Padma: “Then why do you keep pursuing me?”
He took a breath before answering.
Rajan: “Because I never stopped thinking about you. But I know that my feelings don't give me any claim over your life.”
Padma lowered her eyes to the roses.
She had expected him to speak about destiny, about how they belonged together, or about how many years he had waited. Instead, he was speaking with a restraint she had rarely seen in him.
She wasn't sure whether it was genuine or simply another way to reach her.
Padma: “You don't know what I think about you.”
Rajan: “Then tell me.”
Padma: “I haven't figured it out myself.”
They reached a clearing where the river curved around a patch of dark earth. Rajan stopped beneath a tree, and Padma stood beside him, looking up at the scattered stars.
For a while, neither spoke.
The silence was different from the silence in the village. There were no neighbours, no familiar voices, no friends to interrupt them. Only the breeze, the river, and the uncomfortable awareness of how close they were standing.
Rajan turned towards her.
Rajan: “May I sit beside you?”
Padma hesitated, then nodded towards a low stone near the riverbank.
They sat with a little space between them.
Rajan: “I imagined a night like this many times. But I never imagined you would actually come.”
Padma: “Don't make this into some grand romantic story. I came to talk.”
Rajan smiled faintly.
Rajan: “Then we'll talk.”
She turned to face him. The moonlight softened the hard lines of his face, and for the first time that evening, she noticed not only his size and confidence but also the nervousness he was trying to hide.
Padma: “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Rajan: “Because I've wanted to sit beside you without arguing with you for a very long time.”
Padma looked away, embarrassed by the warmth that rose in her cheeks.
Rajan did not move closer.
That restraint left Padma strangely conscious of the distance between them. She remembered the unwanted closeness at the college function, but this time he was waiting for her to decide what happened next.
She turned back towards him.
Padma: “Rajan, I am married.”
Rajan: “I know.”
Padma: “I love Mohan.”
Rajan's face tightened for an instant, but he nodded.
Rajan: “I understand.”
Padma: “Then you should understand why this is complicated.”
Rajan: “I do. I won't pretend otherwise.”
She looked at the river again. Her thoughts were tangled: affection for her husband, anger at Rajan, curiosity about the man sitting beside her, and fear of what even one private meeting might mean.
After a long pause, she placed the roses on the stone between them.
Padma: “I don't want you to think that coming here means you've won something.”
Rajan: “I don't.”
Padma: “And I don't want you deciding what I feel.”
Rajan: “Then tell me what you feel, Padma. Even if the answer is that you want me to leave.”
She studied him in the moonlight.
For a brief moment, she wondered what would happen if she moved closer. The thought startled her, and she drew a slow breath.
Padma: “I don't have an answer tonight.”
Rajan: “Then I won't ask you for one.”
The breeze grew cooler. Padma folded her arms, and Rajan noticed.
Rajan: “Are you cold?”
Padma: “A little.”
He started to remove his shirt, but she immediately shook her head.
Padma: “No, it's fine.”
He stopped and let his hand fall.
The small exchange reminded her that she could say no and be heard. It did not erase the past, but it allowed her to breathe a little more easily.
When she looked at him again, their eyes met and held.
There was attraction in the silence, but there was uncertainty too. Padma knew that a moment could change the course of a relationship, and she was not ready to pretend the consequences did not exist.
From somewhere beyond the trees, Geeta's laughter carried faintly across the field.
Padma stood.
Padma: “We should go back.”
She picked the roses ..
Rajan: “All right.”
She took a few steps, then turned around.
Padma: “I don't know whether I'll speak to you again like this.”
Rajan: “That decision is yours.”
Padma looked at him for another moment before walking towards the path.
She had arrived expecting to defend herself against his persistence. Instead, she was leaving with a more difficult problem: she could not yet separate her curiosity about Rajan from her anger at him, and she could not pretend that her marriage meant nothing.
Padma walked towards the narrow path. She could hear Geeta laughing somewhere beyond the trees, and she knew she should join her friend and return home.
She took several steps.
Then she stopped.
She looked down at her hands, frustrated by the confusion she could not seem to shake. She had come here to find answers, but the conversation had left her with even more questions.
Why am I still thinking about him? Why can't I simply forget everything and go home?
She turned around.
Rajan was still standing beside the stone, his gaze lowered towards the bouquet she had left behind.
Padma: “Rajan!”
He looked up immediately.
Rajan: “Yes?”
Padma hesitated before walking back towards him.
Padma: “I have one more question.”
Rajan: “Ask me.”
Padma: “If I tell you that I am curious about you, will you immediately assume that I want a relationship with you?”
Rajan looked at her for a moment.
Rajan: “No. Curiosity is not a promise.”
Padma: “And if I change my mind about being here?”
Rajan: “I'll take you back to Geeta.”
She studied his face, trying to determine whether he understood how important those answers were to her.
Padma: “You have hurt me before. I haven't forgotten that.”
Rajan: “I know.”
Padma: “And I cannot promise you anything.”
Rajan: “I'm not asking you to promise anything tonight.”
The breeze moved through the trees. Somewhere nearby, the river made a soft, continuous sound against its banks.
Padma glanced towards the little hut at the edge of the field.
Padma: “Can we sit somewhere for a while? Somewhere we can talk without worrying about someone walking past?”
Rajan nodded towards the hut but did not move until she did.
Padma walked ahead.
Inside, the hut was simple, with a wooden bench, a small table and a window overlooking the field. Moonlight fell through the gaps in the shutters, leaving pale strips across the floor.
Padma sat at one end of the bench. Rajan sat beside her, leaving a little distance between them.
For several minutes, they spoke about their college days. Some memories made Padma smile despite herself; others brought back the anger she had carried for years.
Padma: “You always behaved as though you could get whatever you wanted.”
Rajan: “I thought being persistent would eventually change your mind.”
Padma: “It made me dislike you more.”
Rajan lowered his eyes.
Rajan: “I understand that now.”
Padma: “Do you? Because there is a difference between someone wanting you and someone respecting you.”
Rajan: “You're right.”
She looked at him, surprised that he had not tried to defend himself.
Padma: “I don't know why I'm telling you all this.”
Rajan: “Perhaps because you've wanted to say it for a long time.”
She fell silent.
Then, slowly, Padma moved a little closer.
Rajan noticed, but he did not reach for her.
Padma: “You aren't going to say anything?”
Rajan: “I'm waiting to understand what you want.”
Padma studied him. Her heart was beating faster now, and she knew the next thing she did could change the nature of their meeting.
She thought of Mohan. She thought of the promises she had made in her marriage. She thought of the years of anger between herself and Rajan, and of the confusing attraction she had never properly examined.
None of those thoughts disappeared simply because she was sitting beside him.
Padma: “I want to know what it feels like to be close to you when I'm not frightened or angry.”
Rajan's expression changed, but he kept his voice quiet.
Rajan: “Are you sure that's what you want?”
Padma: “I'm still confused. But I came back here because I chose to, not because you called me.”
He nodded.
Padma reached for his hand. Their fingers met, and for a moment they simply looked at one another.
Then Padma leaned towards him and kissed him.
Rajan remained still for an instant, as though he could hardly believe she had made the first move. When she drew back, he searched her face.
Rajan: “Padma…”
Padma: “Don't spoil the moment by asking me a hundred questions.”
A faint smile crossed his face.
Rajan: “All right.”
She kissed him again, this time without immediately retreating. He put an arm around her, and she rested her hand against his shoulder. Their earlier hostility seemed distant for a few moments, replaced by the uncertainty and warmth of a closeness neither had expected to reach that evening.
But Padma eventually pulled back.
Padma: “I need you to understand something. This doesn't erase what happened at the college.”
Rajan: “I understand.”
Padma: “And I don't know what this means for tomorrow.”
Rajan: “We don't have to decide that tonight.”
She looked at him, searching for the old impatience she remembered. He was quiet now, letting her set the pace.
Outside, the half-moon slipped behind a passing cloud. The hut grew darker, and the river continued flowing beyond the field.
Padma rested her forehead against his for a moment, caught between the life she knew and the consequences of the choice she was making.
When she kissed him again, it was deliberate.
The conversation faded into silence as they held each other close. For the first time that night, Padma stopped trying to explain every feeling to herself. She allowed the moment to unfold without pretending it would be simple, or that there would be no consequences afterward.
Padma: “You can stop looking so surprised.”
Rajan: “I'm surprised because I don't want to misunderstand you again.”
His words touched something in her. She turned towards him and gently placed her hand against his cheek.
Padma: “Then listen to me when I tell you what I want.”
Rajan nodded.
Padma leaned forward and kissed him.
For a moment, he remained still, startled by her initiative. Then he returned the kiss gently, placing one arm around her shoulders. Padma rested her other hand against his chest, feeling the warmth of his embrace.
When they drew apart, they remained close, their foreheads almost touching.
Rajan: “Padma, are you sure?”
Padma: “I want to be here with you right now. But I cannot promise you anything about tomorrow.”
Rajan: “I understand.”
She kissed him again, more confidently this time. He held her close as the conversation between them gave way to quiet affection.
The night outside grew darker. The half-moon disappeared behind a thin veil of clouds, and the sound of the river became more noticeable in the silence.
Padma rested her head against his shoulder. She knew the significance of what she was doing. She was married to Mohan, and whatever she felt for Rajan could not erase that commitment. Yet she had returned to him willingly, driven by feelings she had struggled to understand.
Rajan gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
Rajan: “You are still thinking.”
Padma: “I always think too much.”
Rajan: “Then tell me what is going through your mind.”
Padma looked into his eyes.
Padma: “That I never imagined I would be sitting here with you like this.”
Rajan: “Neither did I.”
She gave a small, uncertain smile before drawing him into another embrace.
Their kisses grew more affectionate, and they held each other close, sharing a private tenderness neither had expected at the beginning of the evening. Padma rested her cheek against his, while Rajan held her hand between his own.
For once, neither tried to fill the silence with promises about the future.
As she turned towards him, she noticed something in his hand.
The bouquet of red roses.
He had carried it all the way from the riverbank.
Padma glanced at the flowers and then at him. A playful smile appeared on her face.
Padma: “You know something? You haven't even given me those flowers properly.”
Rajan looked at the bouquet, then back at her.
Rajan: “Oh, so that's what was bothering you?”
Padma: “Of course! You came all this way carrying roses, and I had to take them myself. What kind of proposal is that?”
Rajan laughed, delighted by the sudden change in her mood.
Rajan: “Wait here. I'll give them to you properly.”
He stood up, straightened his shirt and took a step away from the bench. Padma watched him with curiosity, wondering what he was planning.
Then, to her surprise, Rajan turned towards her and slowly lowered himself onto one knee.
Padma's playful smile disappeared into an expression of astonishment.
Padma: “Rajan! What are you doing?”
He held the bouquet towards her, looking up at her with an unusual seriousness.
Rajan: “Padma, I've thought about this moment for years. I imagined saying a hundred different things to you, but now that you're standing in front of me, none of them seems enough.”
Padma stared at him, speechless.
Rajan: “I know our past isn't perfect. I know I've hurt you, and I cannot expect a bouquet of roses or a few kind words to make you forget that. But tonight, you've given me the chance to speak to you honestly.”
He took a breath.
Rajan: “I have wanted you in my life for a very long time. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, and I cannot ask you to promise me something you aren't ready to promise. But if there is even a small possibility that you might one day choose me, I want you to know that my feelings are real.”
He extended the roses towards her.
Rajan: “Padma, will you give me a place in your heart? And be my valentine ever ?”
For several seconds, she could not speak.
She had expected Rajan to flirt with her, perhaps make another compliment about her appearance. She had not expected him to kneel before her and ask such a direct question.
Padma: “You really are impossible.”
Rajan smiled nervously.
Rajan: “I've been told that before.”
Padma let out a small laugh despite herself.
Then she accepted the bouquet.
Padma: “Get up, Rajan. Someone might see you like this.”

Rajan: “You haven't answered me.”
Padma looked down at the roses, gently touching one of the petals.
Padma: “And you expected me to answer such a question immediately?”
Rajan: “I was hoping for a miracle.”
Padma looked at him with a mixture of amusement and uncertainty.
Padma smiled mischievously, holding the red roses close to her chest.

Padma: “Okay, I'm your Valentine for tonight!”

Rajan stared at her for a moment, surprised by her playful answer.
Rajan: “Then I'll make sure tonight becomes a memory you'll never forget.”
Padma: “Let's see whether you can keep that promise!”
She smiled, and he gently offered her his hand. This time, she took it willingly.
