Cliche response is that you should write the way you want to write. This story has been so far very realistic and some of it comes from you as the author caring about the characters and ensuring consistency across chapters.

There are way too many stories on this site where things go from normal to orgies and more so very quickly, like a 90 min video production. Personally I prefer this to stay at the current pace (but would like it the way *you* would the story to evolve). Like in sex there is a saying that we should not overthink about what the partner wants, and instead if we focus on what we want and communicate honestly and lovingly, things fall into place.
