A reader must listen to the writer to truly experience the story. Reading requires a temporary surrender of control.
- During the First Read:Readers must quiet their own biases and fully listen to the writer’s voice, world-building, and characters.
- To Expand Their Mind:If a reader only wants to hear their own thoughts reflected back, they will never learn anything new. Listening to a writer allows a reader to see the world through someone else's eyes.
