Adultery Noida wife's descent into Quicksand ( New Novel)
Chapter 10: Back to Chennai

In the car back to Chennai, Rakesh cleared his dry throat, unable to take the heavy silence any longer.
“Monica… I… I don’t even know what to say,” he began, his voice thin and cracking slightly. “I’m so sorry. My lie almost ruined the entire deal. I should have protected you. I shouldn’t have let those men put you through that…”
“Oh, now you want to protect me?” she scoffed softly “Rakesh, you spent the entire two hours cowering in your boxers, trembling like an intern on his first day”

Rakesh’s face burned…..“I panicked, Monica! They are dangerous! Ranga… Selvam… do you even know what they were doing under the table? They were literally stroking themselves right next to me while you were explaining the cash flow!”

Monica didn’t flinch.

“Do you really think I’m that naive, Rakesh?” she said .

“I knew exactly what kind of air was in that room the moment my dress came off. You could practically taste the filth and heat in there. Why do you think I bent over the laptop the way I did?”
Rakesh shot her a stunned, wide-eyed look

“You… you did that on purpose?”

“I gave them a close view of my ……you know what.. so their brains would completely short-circuit,” Monica said, “It’s called leverage, darling. While they were busy catching their breath and touching themselves under their lungis, I slipped the 12x exit multiple right past them without a single objection. Without that all our midnight oil would have been for nothing”

Rakesh smiled “Do you think they will really give us 12x returns ?”

Monica replied “At least that’s what the commitment is”

Then Monica slid her sunglasses down the bridge of her nose, looking directly at his lap. Her eyes locked onto the undeniable, hard bulge still tenting his trousers against his thigh.

“..btw ..Ranga and Selvam weren’t the only ones getting off on the presentation, were they?” she purred teasingly.
Rakesh’s breath hitched in his throat. “Monica, please—”

“Don’t 'Monica' me,” she whispered, leaning over Rakesh “I saw you sitting on that wooden bench, Rakesh. You were terrified, humiliated, and yet you were sitting there with a full-blown hard-on ”
Rakesh swallowed hard, his hands shaking …

“I… I couldn’t help it,” Rakesh confessed in a hushed, breathless whisper “It was terrifying… but seeing you like that… so exposed, yet taking total control of those men… it was the most insanely erotic thing I’ve ever seen in my life. You looked... unbelievable.”

Monica slowly sat back.

“Good,” Monica said softly, her eyes lingering on his rigid lap

… “Because your stupid lie put me in that spot, Rakesh. My brain and my body just saved your career today… and the moment we step inside our hotel room, you’re going to make it up to me.”

They barely got the door closed.

The moment it clicked shut, they kissed like people who had been holding their breath for hours. It was messy, urgent, teeth and tongues and the taste of the long day still on them. Monica’s back hit the wall. Rakesh’s hands found the hem of her dress and pushed it up. She lifted her arms to help him, then went straight for his belt.
They didn’t make it to the bed the first time. Rakesh shoved his own trousers down just far enough. He lifted her, and she wrapped her legs around him with a short, sharp sound that was half frustration and half need. When he pushed inside her they both went still for a second, foreheads pressed together, breathing hard, as if the reality of finally being alone with everything that had happened had just caught up with them.
They finished against the wall in a rush, muffled sounds into each other’s necks, legs shaking.
For a minute the only noise in the room was their breathing. Then Monica gave a short, breathless laugh that still carried an edge.

“We’re going to miss the flight.”

They pulled apart, half-dressed and clumsy, and stumbled toward the bed for round two because neither of them was finished. This time it was slower only by comparison — still hungry..
When they finally lay still, the clock on the bedside table was uncomfortably close to boarding time.
They made the flight with nine minutes to spare.

Chapter 11: The Flat next door

The mail arrived on a quiet Tuesday night.

Rakesh opened it on his laptop while Monica stood behind him, still in her office clothes, scrolling through her phone. The subject line was short and formal. First tranche confirmation.
Monica leaned in, read it over his shoulder, and gave a small, dry laugh.
“Well,” she said. “Looks like they got impressed after all.”

Rakesh turned nervously “Uff …finally !”

“Careful,” Monica joked. “If my lingerie show was what closed it, we might have to budget for better lingerie next time.”
Rakesh huffed a short laugh “Stop joking Monica. You and Ranga anna got me really worked up that day, but look they have given us just 5% , we negotiated 12%”

Monica rested her hand on his shoulder

“It’s still a clean stake in a real project. Our names sit on the shareholder list. That matters more than anything else Rakesh! Relax.”

She straightened and walked toward the kitchen.

“Besides,” she added over her shoulder, “we already paid the harder price for it.”

The Following Week – Project Site

The small land Rakesh and Monica explored inside the Eco tourism village looked different now. The board now showed Ranga’s entity on top instead of Ustad. They really needed their names as the primary shareholder for the café they were planning to build in the eco tourism site!
Monica stood in front of the board for a few seconds, reading it without expression. Then she turned to Rakesh and gave him a small, genuine smile.

“Congratulations, baby. We’re officially on the papers now!”

“There,” the local supervisor showed. “That’s where the café should come up madam”
Rakesh looked at the empty slope, then at Monica.

“We have to submit a café plan design”

“Rakesh, I want to build something cosy and cute… This café is really a big dream for me”
The supervisor moved ahead. For a moment they stood alone on the ridge.
Monica adjusted her sunglasses and started walking again.
“Come on. I want to see the eastern boundary before the light goes.”
Rakesh followed.

Two Months Later

Rakesh was already in bed, scrolling through emails, when Selvam’s number lit up the screen. He sat up.
“Selvam?”
“Rakesh bhai. We’re in Delhi. Need to meet tomorrow. You and Monica madam both. Urgent.”
Rakesh’s stomach tightened.
“Is everything all right with the project?”
“Project is fine. Something else. I’ll send the location. Afternoon.”
He hung up before Rakesh could ask more.
At dinner Rakesh told Monica. She listened, fork paused halfway to her plate, then simply said, “We’ll go.”

The address led them into a narrow Paharganj lane that smelled of damp concrete and fried oil. The coffee shop sat on the second floor of a building that also housed a maternity clinic.
Monica looked around once and sat down.
“This is the most weird coffee shop I’ve ever been in,” she said flatly. “What are you two doing in Delhi?”
Ranga and Selvam were already there. Both looked tired, shoulders tight, the way men look when they have been moving carefully for days.
Rakesh asked the obvious question.

“What’s going on?”

Selvam kept his voice low.

“We came to close a deal with a local party. The deal happened. We collected a large amount of cash. Somehow income-tax people got wind of movement in the area. Hotels are impossible right now. We need a quiet residential place for sometime until we can move the money properly.”
Rakesh stared.

“How much cash are we talking about?”

Ranga answered without blinking.

“Enough that we can’t take chances. We’re not asking you to store it in your house. We need a vacant flat in your society. We’ll handle everything ourselves. You only help us get the keys.”
Monica and Rakesh exchanged a look.

Monica spoke first.

“That’s still dangerous. Neighbours notice new faces. Guards talk. If anything goes wrong it comes back to us.”
Ranga shook his head.

“Tell the society we’re relatives visiting for a short time. We’ll stay quiet. No visitors, no noise. A month maximum.. After that we’re gone.”

Rakesh rubbed his forehead.

“We don’t even know if there’s a vacant flat.”

“Find out” Selvam said. “Quickly.”

Monica leaned forward.
“It’s not that simple. They do verification. They ask questions.”
Ranga’s voice stayed even, but the weight behind it was clear.
“ I’m asking for a simple favour Madam. Nothing more.. I am sure you guys will manage”
There was silence.

Rakesh finally said, “We’ll look into it and come back to you.”

--------------_----------------------------------------

That night Rakesh asked Monica
“What do you think?”
Monica stared at the wall

“Can you manage the chairman?”
“I don’t know. Maybe.”

“This is risky. That much cash sitting away… I don’t like it.”
Rakesh looked at her.
“If we say no, the café land stays complicated. We already have our names on the papers. We have to find a middle path.”
She nodded once, almost to herself.

“I know.”

---_---------------------------------------

Three days later the chairman agreed.

The vacant flat was on the same floor, two doors down — a small, unfurnished 2BHK that had been empty for months. Ranga and Selvam moved in after dark with two big bags and few suitcases and nothing else.
Monica stood in the doorway of the empty flat that first night, arms folded, watching Ranga set a single plastic chair near the window.

“You don’t have a single piece of furniture,” she said. “How are you planning to live here?”
Ranga looked up and gave a smile.

“We’re not here to build a home, madam. We’re here to keep the cash quiet. Everything else can wait.”
