Yes I agree this is little bit of deja vu from Ranga and Selvam 
I agree with you ..
But let me explain you 

So I wanted Ranga and Selvam play a long winding game ..not short term physical touching by force game 

They had chance and opportunity? Yes 100% ...but if they seized the opportunity..they are forcing the narrative too soon too uni dimensionally 

That would make it appear again Monica/Rakesh fighting two new set of Goondas ..

Here it's different..

Here a sinister plot is weaved .. where the risk simmers yet everyone is a player .. everyone is a hesitant participant..
Monica ..she is vulnerable but want a solid way out for eco tourism investment 

Rakesh ..he wants a deal but worried about the brutes ..

And Ranga/Selvam ..they are hardened businessmen but not clean so they are also insecure at times...
This builds a more balanced narrative

I understand the long-brewing game you’re working towards, and that layered approach is one of the things that has kept the story intriguing so far all along.......

But in this particular update, the sudden soft turn (“we won’t blackmail you”, “we are not animals”) felt like a forced pullback. It undercut the superior, dangerous dynamic Ranga and Selvam had already established earlier — especially after they had just manhandled Rakesh and forced Monica to strip. Those contradictory statements weakened the threat they were carrying..... in my view.......

Still looking forward to seeing you bloom it from here.....
