Ajay looked at Meera and said, “Raghav sir asked to have a connect when you are back.”
All three of them connected with Raghav on a secure call.
Raghav’s voice came through clearly.
“Tell me the details, Meera.”
She explained how she had hidden Sunny and Chacha in a warehouse belonging to Shankar and Vikram themselves.
Raghav was impressed.
“That was a smart move — hiding them in their own warehouse. Good thinking.”
He asked, “Do you trust your helper there?”
Meera replied confidently, “I trust him very well, sir.”
She then told him, “I am meeting Prince tomorrow. He will be leaving the country tomorrow night. We need to arrest him before that.”
Raghav’s tone became firm.
“No, we cannot do that. We don’t have enough proofs, and on top of that, he is a foreign prince. There will be a lot of diplomatic issues. We will lose Vikram and Shankar if we move on him now.”
Meera argued, “But Prince is also a big-time criminal. He has done a lot of crimes in his country also.”
Raghav replied patiently, “I understand, Meera, but that is in his country. I cannot arrest him and jeopardize our whole mission here. Our target is Vikram and his group. We have to let the Prince go. We can get him later.”
Meera pushed back, “He will join with another Vikram. He will continue his crimes.”
Raghav’s voice remained steady but authoritative.
“I am telling you — we cannot arrest him tomorrow. Your mission is to make sure he leaves the country without making any trouble for our operation. You understand?”
Meera paused for a moment, then replied reluctantly.
“Yes, sir.”
The call ended. Meera sat there, feeling the weight of the decision. She knew Raghav was right strategically, but letting the Prince go felt wrong. She has seen the crimes he has done in his country. Her hatred for that crimes only made her to take these brave steps but now Raghav sir is asking her to leave him for time being. Meera felt angry inside.
