Thriller The Couple's Experiment – The Truth Changes Everything
#59
Kind of story where I would want jump into it and slap the hell out of Tara and her foolishness.
If she already doesn't know then she needs to know that by nature men are jealous and doubting, its in their nature to run wild scenarios all the time and generate fear for themselves...that is their way of loving someone. If your man doesn't care or not stressed or not acting like Jeeva is acting then he is not in love nor he cares...Women and Men are built different by nature. His expressions, his worried stance, his doubting her at her every step itself should show her how much he loves her and fears of losing her so her getting hurt on his behavior is unnecessary. His jealousy is exactly the price she would have to pay to play this game, and it isn't obvious to her...

Now after stating the obvious, lets see the chronological timeline.

Timeline where last chapter ended is 2 weeks after the experiment has started and the first chapter is 6 months after the experiment began...so in the meantime, we do not know what happened but few things are clear and can be stated as facts and also we can clearly see that one is hiding and other one is already breaking rules with ease....

1. They broke the rule of no tours with partners...both of them are in a resort with partners.
2. Jeeva broke the kiss rule so he already slipped and he is very casual about it as if that was not the first time he did it.
3. Tara lies about the love bite, bug bite and rubbing is clearly a lie.

So who broke the first rule, where it started and what happened all these 5 months and how did the couple end up in a resort just 20 kms from the city on different side of the same city is something we have yet to read...So the obv elephant in the room...a condom packet(Could be her way of protecting her marriage if she gets tempted so she kept one handy in case Sam forces himself on her...Rule no 6), a love bite 5 months later...does it prove she is already in an affair? I don't think so, does it activate our brains to doubt her, of course yes and that's the intention of author to keep Tara's work as mystery and lay it out with secrecy but keep Jeeva's side transparent...haven't we seen this pattern before...readers get sympathize with lead man easily, they blame woman, that's the misogynistic nature of men, what to do...we are all raised in a society like that, filled with prejudice....

What I think really is happening....

Tara wants lively life, she wants marriage without boredom, she wants her husband with more attention towards her, she do not want a calm husband and boring one. So instead of talking it through words and make her husband take her seriously, she planned a deliberate devious plan to kindle things between them organically....

The entire experiment is a jealousy-generation machine, and infidelity was never the point — provoking Jeeva was her ultimate goal and she was obviously thinking many months before confronting him but the game and opportunity Meera and Arjun gave them, she took it with both hands and manipulated into a game. Several things support this theory so far...

1. "This perfect life is boring."
2. "I want to see you fight for me a little. Want me a little more. Show some jealousy. If everything is perfect all the time, it becomes too flat."
3. "That's the first time you've sounded like you're fighting for me," in seven years....

Deliberately pick Sam's call at midnight and say ""you're soon going to get what you've wished for a long time" to make her husband anxious. Why didn't Jeeva ask about it? He was sitting right there and could ask her what did Sam wish for so long and what is he getting? Didn't they plan for transparency? Idea is for the individual to test themselves and their love for each other, not to put through others through jealousy and test them...though that is in my opinion Tara's hidden intention. So again conveniently Author didn't make Jeeva question it, as answer to that would not have made him come early in next chapter 16 and look beaten to death already in 2 weeks like a jealous husband.

Tara's real goal is provoking jealousy, the most efficient tool here is not about faking something with Sam, it's letting Jeeva witness something authentic and just not softening the blow but weaponize it to bring raw emotions out of Jeeva and his feelings which were dormant all their marriage life for 7 years. Always real material lands harder than performed material. She gets the reaction she wants precisely already but the pain he is going through is making her guilty.

Picking Sam was her choice all along because unlike Karthik she was certain that Sam would never force himself on her, he is steady, calm and calculated. Yes he is attracted to her, strips her with his eyes but he is not immature Karthik who already has 3 affairs and couldn't keep them in secret and also the kind who would not leave the game with out sleeping with her when you lift the boundaries around him so he is clearly unsafe though Jeeva thought otherwise so Tara's thinking is spot on here...but , yes there is a but...the kind Sam usually won't force themselves and that is true but the danger is they make the woman fall for them...looks like Tara didn't think through...lets see...
