I don't think tharun has any problem. It's because of the timing of he switching the pills, uk trip and revelation of Jay witnessing Tharun and Nikitha, Tharun being outside the door and Nikitha becoming more vulnerable because of Jays revelation that led Nikitha to have sex with Jay on that day in UK.. even if one of the above conditions didn't meet then she wouldn't have had sex with Jay... This is definitely one of the characters that stayed true to her compass of what's right in her eyes throughout the story..
