Adultery A Husband and Wife’s Playful Texts Turn Into a Complicated Affair [COMPLETED]
Chapter 160 - Nikkitha decides who is the Father.

The day of the delivery finally arrived. Jay paced anxiously outside the labor ward. Tharun had also shown up at the hospital. The two men barely spoke to each other. Sharmi arrived after Jay called her. She was only learning the full truth that day — they had cut contact after Nikkitha got pregnant.

Sharmi didn’t hold back. She smacked Jay on the back and scolded him. “You still love her, don’t you?”
“I never stopped,” Jay admitted quietly.

Sharmi sighed. “One cannot straighten a dog’s tail.”
She had waited patiently for him all this time, but seeing the situation made her furious.

The moment she spotted Tharun, her rage boiled over. “What the hell is this?” she snapped, pointing at him. “You married her again, and he’s still hanging around?”

Jay replied calmly, “Just like how you’re here for me, he’s here for her.”
“We are not the same!” Sharmi shot back. “I never broke your marriage. He did. You shouldn’t be entertaining this.”

“Nikkitha knows what she’s doing,” Jay said. “She’ll stop him once Tharun and Mithra truly become a couple. He’ll stop by himself too.”

Sharmi shook her head. “Sorry, Jay. I can’t deal with this mess. I’ll just wait for you on the side.”

Jay took a deep breath and finally spoke from his heart.

“Sharmi, I still love Nikkitha. She is my life. Yes, we complicated everything. We’re both scared of confronting each other, scared of getting hurt again. But I believe once Tharun and Mithra settle down properly, she’ll finally see things clearly.”

He paused. “I can feel her love for me is still there. She’s just a few steps away from accepting it, but the baby situation has put her on a moral back seat. Right now, my only focus is to get her back on her feet, take care of our baby, and repay what she did for me — especially getting back the assets her stepmother stole.”

He looked at Sharmi earnestly. “I need your help.”
Sharmi blinked. “What?”

“Bribe the lab people who will handle the DNA report.”
“That’s risky…” she muttered.

“Please,” Jay said. “Her stepmother will be watching my every move. I don’t want to take any chances. I trust you.”

After a long pause, Sharmi finally nodded. “Okay. I’ll do it.”

But i wish you both sit and discuss just for the baby in future.

Hours later, the doctor came out with a warm smile. “It’s a baby girl.”

A wave of overwhelming emotion crashed over Jay. His eyes instantly welled up as he stepped forward and gently took the tiny, wrinkled bundle into his arms. He lowered his head and placed the softest kiss on his daughter’s forehead, whispering something only the baby could hear. The sight of him — strong, protective, completely in love — made Nikkitha’s heart ache with a thousand unspoken feelings.

Exhausted but glowing, Nikkitha reached up with trembling fingers and pulled Jay closer. She kissed his forehead, her lips lingering there a second longer than necessary. In that quiet moment, tears slipped down her cheeks. This man had stood by her through everything, even when she didn’t deserve it.

From the doorway, Sharmi and Tharun watched silently. Tharun’s face had gone pale. His throat felt painfully dry, and for the first time, the full weight of reality seemed to crash down on him. The way Jay held the baby, the way Nikkitha looked at him — it was intimate, sacred, and painfully real.

Nikkitha’s tired eyes slowly lifted and met Tharun’s across the room.

For a long moment, neither of them looked away. She offered him a small, heavy-hearted smile — one filled with guilt, gratitude, and quiet sorrow. In her heart, she had already chosen Jay as the father. But the truth was far more complicated.

Whose baby is she, really?

The question haunted her even now, in this beautiful, overwhelming moment. She had been with both men during that crucial time. Jay had been passionate and frequent. Tharun had been intense too, especially after he secretly tampered with her pills. There was no way to know for sure without the DNA test — the one they were planning to manipulate.

And yet… it didn’t matter anymore.

In her heart, this little girl was Jay’s. She had to be. For Jay’s sake. For the baby’s future. For Tharun’s chance at a real life with Mithra. For her own fragile peace. She had decided long ago that biology would not decide this child’s father — love, responsibility, and protection would. And Jay had already proven himself in every possible way.

Still, a quiet storm of guilt twisted inside her chest. She had dragged two good men into her chaos. One was now holding a baby that might not even be his, pouring his entire heart into fatherhood. The other stood at the door, watching the woman he loved build a family with someone else — completely unaware that he might be the real father.

Tharun managed a faint smile in return, soft and genuine, but his eyes carried a new kind of pain. He had no idea of the storm raging inside her.

Nikkitha looked away, pressing her face gently against Jay’s arm, breathing in his familiar scent. In that moment, she made a silent vow:

No matter whose blood runs in her veins… you will be her father, Jay. I’ll make sure of it. I'm sorry, from today I will lie, I will be selfish just to be with you and the Baby needs you, even if it was Tharuns. It's mine and yours too. Lets start fresh, she spoke in her heart.. With tears flowing down realising what love is doing to her.
