Chapter 1: The Departure Protocol
Part1 contd..

The battered green-and-yellow auto-rickshaw ground its gears with a harsh, metallic scream, sputtering to a final halt inside the choked drop-off lane of KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. The gridlock was absolute. Ahead, a dense wall of white Maruti Suzuki cabs, idling transit buses, and red-and-yellow city logistics trucks honked in a deafening, rhythmic chorus under the dark evening sky. The light, pleasant drizzle from Indiranagar had completely dissolved, replaced by a violent, blinding tropical downpour that slammed against the station’s weathered corrugated awnings with the force of small stones. The sheer impact generated a heavy, rising mist from the hot asphalt, wrapping the entire multi-lane entrance zone in a humid, thick fog full of trapped diesel fumes and damp earth.

Ria sat perfectly still for a moment in the narrow, vibrating backseat, the mechanical thrum of the two-stroke engine rattling through the vinyl seat and directly up her spine. The sudden storm had transformed the air. A damp, heavy draft surged straight through the open canvas side-flaps of the vehicle, instantly hitting the loose linen of her utility jumpsuit. The thin green fabric, which had felt so breezy and weightless while walking through Indiranagar, immediately lost its airy structure under the assault of the moisture. It began to grow heavy, dampening slightly from the sheer atmospheric saturation and sticking directly to her bare ribcage.

She unzipped the small, structured leather compartment of her designer handbag, her long, manicured fingers retrieving a crisp two-hundred-rupee note to settle the fare.

The old driver turned around completely in his small front cabin, leaning one calloused elbow over the weathered metal partition. His gaze skipped past the bill in her hand, locking instantly onto the deep, exposed V-neck of her front. The jarring ride across the city’s uneven side roads had done exactly what the loose, low-quality metal teeth were prone to do under the dynamic movement of a tall frame. The silver slider had drifted down an additional two inches, carving out a wide, pale channel of bare skin that exposed the deep valley between her large, braless breasts. Under the flickering, pale orange hue of the terminal drop-off lights, a faint sheen of sweat and fine rain moisture glistened along her collarbones. The chilling shift in temperature had caused her prominent nipples to harden aggressively against the damp, thin linen, telegraphing her completely braless state with unmistakable clarity through the semi-translucent green fabric.

"Take the money, bhaiya," Ria murmured, her voice smooth, cool, and perfectly level, unaffected by the roaring chaos outside or the absolute lack of subtlety in his gaze.

The driver took the note, his thumb brushing the paper slowly as a wide, knowing grin split his weathered face, showing a row of tobacco-stained teeth. He shook his head, thoroughly enjoying the lingering remnants of their conversational game. "I am taking it, amma. But I am telling you as an experienced old man... you should fix your machinery before you step out into that crowd. That modern Delhi style is already halfway open for a full platform inspection."

He nodded his head directly toward her sternum, where the loose silver zip track was visibly bowing outward under the continuous, unconstrained pressure of her bust.

Instead of showing the slightest hint of panic, instead of reaching up with a hand to pull the fabric closed or shield herself, Ria merely looked down at the exposed expanse with a cool, detached curiosity. She shifted her long legs, adjusting her posture so that the linen pulled even tighter across her chest, highlighting the complete absence of any supportive under-layer. When she raised her head to meet the driver’s eyes, her expression was flawless, carrying the calm authority of a senior corporate executive managing a minor operational detail.

"The garment is simply accommodating the natural volume of my movement, bhaiya," Ria replied, a faint, teasing edge softening her formal tone just enough to keep him captivated. "Lesser fabrics would have split at the seams under this kind of tension, but high-grade linen is designed to give exactly where the body requires space. Think of it as an indicator of good structural elasticity. Enjoy the change."

The old man let out a sharp, genuinely delighted chuckle, pocketing the note as he shook his head in absolute excitement. "Ayyoo, amma... modern girls have no fear nowadays. Good luck to the thousands of travelers inside. They will completely forget why they came to the station tonight."

"It's only a distraction if they aren't used to seeing proper form, bhaiya," Ria concluded with a soft, confident laugh.

She turned, ducked her head elegantly to clear the low canvas roof of the vehicle, and stepped out onto the slick, rain-drenched concrete curb. The moment her feet planted, she rose to her full, commanding six-foot height. The physical contrast was instantaneous. Her head and shoulders stood entirely clear above the surging sea of daily commuters, local families struggling with oversized blue tarpaulin bundles, and uniform-clad railway porters carrying heavy brass trunks on their heads.

The transition into the open air was a violent sensory assault. The humidity outside wasn't just warm; it was a thick, tropical weight, a suffocating vapor that clung to the skin like a second layer. Within her first five strides toward the entrance gates, the wind swept a heavy spray of rain straight under the concrete canopy, coating her exposed chest in a fine, cool film of water. Her bare skin reacted immediately to the sudden chill. Her large, unsupported breasts hardened instantly, their prominent, distinct shapes printing themselves against the damp green linen with absolute, undeniable clarity.

Ria kept her chin high, her long-limbed stride fluid and unhurried as she moved past the initial security checkpoints. Because her heavy wedding luggage had already been couriered directly to her parents' house in Delhi, she carried nothing but her small leather handbag. This lack of baggage gave her a distinct, unburdened grace that made her stand out even more drastically against the frantic, sweating crowd.

As she crossed the threshold into the main passenger concourse, the true scale of the evening's disruption began to unveil itself. The grand, cavernous hall was entirely gridlocked. Thousands of passengers were packed shoulder-to-shoulder, creating a dense mass of humanity that stretched across the entire marble floor. The station's central industrial air conditioning units had completely given way under the extreme environmental load of the monsoon, turning the massive terminal into a sweltering, unventilated greenhouse. The air was thick, boiling, and completely stagnant, smelling of wet wool, heavy starch, and the collective body heat of an anxious crowd.

A thick bead of sweat formed at the base of Ria's neck, slowly tracing a path down the bare, pale valley of her chest, dampening the inner fabric where the jumpsuit met her skin. The pure friction of the heavy air made her realize that the plunge had crossed from a bold statement into a real operational risk.

She needed to restore the jumpsuit's structure before she entered the high-density queue for the platforms.
