Nikita is a strong woman. She may remain single if going back to Jay is not easy but she is not weak minded to end in an asylum.
Author has clearly kept Jay's side open. (Jay taking Niki's name during his love making with Sharmi and making him clear to Sharmi that she has life without him and it's only transactional between them)
However it's little muddy on Nikitha's side. With all the time lapses it's 7 months since Nikitha's visit to Jay's village.
Probably that is needed for the story but I can't wrap my head around that Nikita didn't getback to Mithra for 3 months at Tharun's insistence.
As usual waiting eagerly for the next updates.
Dont think to much.. i know we cant help it.. but enjoy the process.
With latest epsiode Jay and Mithra stand at same position, they are hurt by break up for second time, life wont be same for them again..
they would fear going to a relationship.
