I informed my mom about Uncle Ken's arrival I told her that I invited him to stay with us since he's just coming for few days and she was happy he was coming too as he was such a nice host during the time they visited London.
I asked mom what she thinks about Uncle Ken. Mom said " Of course he's a nice person. He was such a nice person and hosted us very well when we came to your graduation son". I said "not in that perspective mom. You said you wouldn't risk with any random person and let every one know and tarnish our reputation. Uncle Ken would not create any problem mom"
Mom hit back by saying "Are you mad? His wife passed away few years ago. We have known him for so long. How can you even think like that?".
I then said smiling "Mom, did you see how hard he tried to make conversations with you and be around you when you last visited. I think he really likes you a lot mom"
"But son. This is not right. You shouldn't even think about finding some one for me. Let alone think about Ken" said mom.
"Come on. I'm not asking you to do anything what you don't like. l want you to be happy too" I said.
That conversation ended there.
Few days after, I picked Uncle Ken from Airport and took him to our house. During the drive to our house I asked how he was doing after his wife's passing away and he said he is fine. I jokingly asked if he has any new girl friends. He said no and now many girls only try to come to him for his money and he doesn't want to risk anything with such girls.
He then asked about my mom and how she's doing after her divorce.I said she is doing fine too. He then asked if she has found any one. I said no she isn't as she keeps saying she doesn't want to get in to a relationship with some one around and ruin her reputation. I also told I want her to find some one and enjoy life. I then purposefully said "I don't care even if it's not a serious relationship". Uncle Ken looked at me and asked what I meant. I said "I wouldn't mind her having a casual relationship". He looked at my face. I said "Uncle Ken, don't be so shocked. Nothing that you haven't done" and both of us smiled with that.
We got home and mom welcomed us at the door. She was wearing a nice long maxi top. Her body shape was clearly visible in that and surprisingly she had a light touch of make up. She looked very pretty and uncle Ken gave her a sudden hug and came inside.
Uncle Ken then had a quick freshen up and mom then invited us to have dinner. She too sat down and we had dinner. After dinner we came back to the living area. All the while Uncle Ken's eyes were glued to my mom's body. He pretty much did not even notice me being there.
So I asked what brings him to India and he said one of his friends son from London is getting married in India as a destination wedding and asked if we want to join or else he would be alone that day since he wouldn't know any one from that circle. I asked him when the wedding is and he said it was this Friday.
I jumped and said I will be out of town with few friends and asked my mom if she wants to join since she has been wanting to go out for so long some where.
She gave me a stare and Uncle Ken said "yes that would work".
Mom asked "Are you sure?"
Uncle Ken said "Of course. I'll be very happy if you can accompany me"
We chatted for some time and then Uncle Ken took his leave as he was very tired after traveling. As he left she gave me a smack on the hand and asked what I'm trying to do.
I said "Mom, Did you see the way he was checking you out the whole time. Why don't you give the old man a little thrill".
"Is this how you talk to your mom?" My mom asked
"Come on mom. I have told you all about my girl friends and even some other stuff. Can't I become the match maker for my mom" I asked
"Son, I don't know if this is a good idea" my mom said
"Just be calm and enjoy mom. You are only accompanying for a wedding". I said back to her.
"But I feel weird" Mom said
"Come one mom. Don't be a bad sport. You are more fun than this" I said
"Fine. Let me try" Mom said
"Mom can you wear something nice" I asked
"What do you mean nice" Mom asked
"Something sexy. I have seen you wear sexy sari's when you used to go out with dad" I said
"How can I wear something like that with Ken? Me wearing something like that with your dad was different" Mom said
"Come on mom. Just this time. You don't get this chance always" I said
"What do you mean I don't get this chance always" Mom asked
"Even Uncle Ken said he wouldn't know any one at the wedding, plus he's not a random person, there is no risk" I said
"These are not something you say to your mom" mom said
"You have asked worst questions about me and my girl friends remember" I said
"Fine fine. I will wear something nice" Mom said
"sexy would be better" I said
"Enough, leave now" Mom said smilingly
"Are you actually going out of town or that's a lie too" Mom asked again
"Actually" I said
"MMMMM" Mom said back and left smiling
