Brother, first of all, thank you for this wonderful story. The emotional depth, character development, and the way you handled such a complicated relationship was truly impressive. I followed it till the end.
I really liked the overall plot, but if I may suggest one alternative ending that I personally felt would be very powerful:
After six months, when Rahul clearly sees Anandhi’s growing attachment and excitement whenever Suriya visits, he finally confronts them while they are in the middle of having sex. The confrontation is raw, painful, and full of emotion. Rahul doesn’t shout or get violent. Instead, with tears in his eyes, he tells Anandhi that he has seen everything — her preparation, her happiness, her distance from him.
He then makes the ultimate sacrifice. He tells them he is leaving everything — the house, the business, the town, and even his active role as a father in daily life. He will only support the children financially from afar. He says he is setting Anandhi free so she can be truly happy with Suriya and give the children a complete family.
The scene where Rahul says goodbye while Anandhi is still with Suriya is heartbreaking. He kisses her forehead with love and pain, then walks away quietly.
In the epilogue, Anandhi and Suriya get married and raise the children, but both of them are haunted by lifelong guilt. Anandhi cries remembering Rahul’s sacrifice, and Suriya can never fully enjoy his victory because he knows he gained everything only because Rahul chose to lose everything.
This kind of ending would make Rahul’s character even more tragic and noble. It would also make the readers feel the heavy emotional weight on Anandhi and Suriya for the rest of their lives.
