That evening, Meera practically ran home. The moment the door was locked and they confirmed there were no bugs ( a daily routine task which Ajay does everyday), she sat down with Ajay and Navya and told them everything in detail — how Vikram had confronted her with the file, the dummy containers, the test, and how she had somehow passed it and earned even more trust.
Ajay listened with a serious expression, his mind working fast.
He said:
“I couldnot believe a sensitive file like that was just lying on a bedside table,” he said. “It felt too convenient. I suspected it was a test or a trap.”
To be safe, Ajay had already altered the container and bay numbers Meera had memorized before passing them to Raghav. The FRA team had raided based on the changed information and returned empty-handed as expected. He was willing to take a loss for his wife's safety.
What neither Ajay nor Raghav knew yet was pure coincidence and luck: the raid they conducted had targeted the exact dummy container that Vikram and Prince Tau had deliberately planted as bait on file B. The container didnt contain anything suspicious as it was just a random container for Ajay.
This accidental success worked heavily in their favor.
Now Vikram and Prince would believe the leak was coming from the Prince’s own side, shifting suspicion away from Meera.
At the same time, in a secure location
Vikram and Prince Tau sat across from each other. The Prince looked visibly disturbed, his powerful frame tense with anger and disbelief.
“I cannot believe someone from my own group is a traitor,” he growled. “My team was handpicked. Loyal men I trusted with my life. Now I don’t know whom to trust anymore.”
Vikram remained calm, though his eyes were cold.
“This changes everything. We need to be extremely careful moving forward. The mole could be anywhere in your circle. Atleast we know which team we can trust now..”
