The next morning started like any other.
Meera left for the office a little later than usual because of heavy traffic. As she entered the office building, she glanced at her watch. The container was scheduled to arrive in the early morning hours. Raghav’s FRA team should have already conducted the raid.
One win for us today, she thought, allowing herself a small, secret moment of satisfaction.
She had no idea yet whether the raid had succeeded or what consequences it might bring.
When she reached her floor, she noticed Vikram was already in the office. His presence made her stomach tighten with fresh anxiety.
Shankar called Meera into his cabin a little after lunch. When she entered, the atmosphere felt heavier than usual.

“There was a raid today. One of our containers was intercepted. It was handled with extreme secrecy. Only a handful of people knew the real details — the core team and their immediate right hands.”
He placed a file on the desk and slid it forward.
Meera’s blood turned to ice. It was the exact same file she had opened and memorized the container numbers from yesterday on the yacht.
Vikram continued, his voice calm and controlled.
“The Prince suspected the leak was coming from our side. I tried to convince him otherwise, but he insisted on a test. So we prepared two versions. File A contained the certain information. File B was a replica with different container and bay numbers.”
Meera’s heart hammered so hard she was sure they could hear it. She knew she was caught.
Vikram leaned back slightly.
“The raid happened exactly according to the details in File B.”
Meera blinked, unable to process what she had just heard. She had expected accusations, threats, or worse. Instead…
Vikram gave a small, cold smile.
“So the mole is on the Prince’s side after all. He will handle it internally.”
Meera felt dizzy with relief, but the fear didn’t leave her. These people were playing games within games.
Vikram then looked directly at her.
“You forgot something in the cabin yesterday, didn’t you, Meera?”
Her throat went dry. She nodded slowly.
“I… saw this file inside cabin and out of curiosity I opened it, but I didnt...”
Vikram chuckled softly, almost amused.
“I know what you did. You are a core member now so you can know the information. If the raid had followed the File A that you saw, this conversation would have been very different.”
He reached into a drawer and placed a small envelope on the desk.
Meera opened it with shaking fingers.
It contained the yellow bikini she wore to pool.
Vikram said you earned our full trust today. The bikini suited you well , you keep it with you.
