Affair started much much before the storage room incident when Tharun arrived. Atleast that was my interpretation as far as I remember. She slapped him not for the affair but the brazen display infront of the new manager Tharun. 

Yeah i wrote in one of my earlier comments that "we have to stay together for 6 more years"  comment from Nikitha made Jay do all this. Making him believe she is not interested . Please check that chapter.

Yes because of that affair, she never got angry when he made a deal with Tharun, Affair was already in full flow at that time...so when Jay asked her if she got angry. her response was a no but deep down she knows she saw him in affair, so why would this be something I should get angry, she realized this is not a marriage for him which he acknowledged.

Anyways lets see what happens, no point thinking whose fault it was and why?
