If you look from Jay's POV, her hurt is not communicated and she only brought it up when Jay warned her about Tharun and expressed his love. Don't you think bringing Anjali in the discussion after Jay mentioned Tharun, not a defense mechanism from her?
She not acknowledging her love for Jay in her mind and wanting to explore outside options or even what courting/flirting, stealing moments etc, would be the reason, no?
