Its simple right, she is consistent in her behavior and thought process...she never thinks about saying I love you to Tharun and cheat herself as she knows she doesn't right now and she knows she will learn to love Tharun eventually and now she can only keep him happy through sex and she is doing that, nor she thinks I love Jay why am i running away from my own love...none of it comes to her naturally as she in her mind believes she has moved on and set herself a future and that person is hers and loves her, so what more I need, is her mindset...but that would break the moment, Tharun is not hers to claim...
HeyGI is master story weaver, he left so many bread scrums to pick and think but we do not find them easily well...I will give one example of that bread scrum, I don't want to give all these here because it will rob readers from the experience when they actually read it so i will send you a private msg and lets see if that will come handy for HeyGI later or not...

You make it sound simple but in reality interpreting this is not so simple unless one is attuned to the character deeply. This I can surely say from my own perspective. I have been re-reading chapters to find clues on why she is behaving this way and raking my brains over it till your comment on acceptance came through. I mean we can see her actions (running half-naked, wondering whether Jay had dinner, breakfast ordering through Tharun, clearing his name in the company, making him good in the village). All these we see as love and wonder why the hell she is not expressing her love. Unless you think that her mind once committed, its committed and she will not think(even internally) contrary to that commitment is an excellent insight that wouldnt come easily.
As a segue, writing the last sentence above actually triggered something in my mind. There is a telugu move called Pokiri in which the protagonist has a dialogue which translates to "Once committed, I will not listen to myself". we can probably put Nikitha's mindset to that dialogue
