Adultery A Husband and Wife’s Playful Texts Turn Into a Complicated Affair
Chapter 136

Three months had passed

Tharun had not bent even an inch for his parents. He refused to return to Cochin, refused to speak with Mithra, and made no effort to salvage the arranged marriage. The wedding that was supposed to happen on the fixed date never took place. He stood solid on his decision, choosing Nikitha over everything else.

Meanwhile, the company was buzzing with fresh gossip. People had started calling Jay and Sharmi a “secret couple.” Their closeness hadn’t gone unnoticed - the way they arrived together sometimes, the long conversations, and the quiet support they offered each other. The rumours spread like wildfire in the office corridors, though neither of them paid much attention.

This gossip did not affect Nikitha much. When Tharun asked if Jay had moved on finding a partner, she just said, they are friends. Tharun asked, "How do you know?

She just smiled and responded… i Just know. However,  her friendship with Sharmi had ended long ago. They barely spoke now, even when it came to official work matters. A cold, professional distance had replaced whatever warmth once existed between them.

Nikitha and Jay won a joint Ticket for UK. But neither of them take it. Jay gave it to her and asked to use it when she wanted. A farewell gift, he said.

One Day….

It was exactly one day before the final divorce hearing. As both Nikitha and Jay stood firm on their decision. The court process moved smoothly, and the mandatory waiting period was waived off. The divorce is expected to be granted the next day.

Nikitha felt a strange sense of relief and happiness. In her own mind, she had tried her best — she had been honest with herself and fought to protect the relationship she truly wanted. Does every step to ensure Jay got everything fair back like his parents, his peace.  Tharun had been her rock, her emotional support, and everything she had wished for now to begin a chapter like she always wanted. She was almost ready to fully accept him as her partner for life.

Their physical relationship had become intense and adventurous. Sex had turned into their common language — a way to console each other, to find comfort in the middle of the storm surrounding Tharun’s family conflict. Their nights were passionate, wild, and frequent.

Yet, something kept nagging at Nikitha.
She had tried many times to learn more about Mithra, but Tharun always avoided the topic. Sometimes, his voice would reveal deep disappointment about how things ended with Mithra. At other times, he would subtly blame Nikitha for making everything so complicated.

In those moments, Nikitha realized with a jolt that Tharun was doing exactly what she and Jay had done months ago — pretending everything was fine while hiding unresolved pain. For the first time, a quiet doubt crept in: Had he truly moved on, or was he just pretending?

All these months, she had been so focused on her own feelings that she had ignored Tharun’s and things surrounding him. Partly Tharun is also responsive to that. His way of dealing things, Nikitha always believed, he will take care of it without saying much.  But now she had some doubts, if he had told her the full story, she wouldn’t have felt it, the moment Tharun denies or skips to tell her full, she gets a doubt…. What if he had deeper wounds beneath the surface?
The question kept returning to her — If he was so determined about me, to get a broken - married woman to love him..  how could he so easily give up on Mithra? First love is special for everyone. How did he walk away from her? That too after years?  What really happened?
Tharun’s answers were always vague. “It’s in the past,” he would say. “Don’t dig too deep.”
Nikitha had seen his mother once, but never Mithra. She often wondered what Mithra’s mindset must be after the sudden cancellation of the marriage. Am I being too selfish? Have I ruined lives — Mithra’s, Tharun’s parents’? These thoughts kept circling in her mind.

The same night before the final court hearing, the same thoughts were running through Nikitha’s head even as they made love some where at 11.30 PM.

After a long, intense session, Tharun finally pulled his cock out of her mouth. But her mind was still in the storm of doubts.

Nikitha was still recovering, breathing heavily, when she looked up at his face. She pushed her lingering doubts aside. This man has taken care of me through everything. He must have his reasons.

Minutes later,

Nikitha stood completely nude near the large window, admiring the glittering midnight beauty of the city lights. Tharun walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and pressed his hardening dick against her ass, trying to enter.
She gently stopped him. “Just hug me, you sweet idiot.”

Tharun groaned playfully. “Why won’t you ever let me have a second round?”
Nikitha smiled, leaning back into his chest. “Because you’re too much… One round with you and I lose all my energy.”
Tharun chuckled and teased, “Don’t feel offended, but was it the same story with Jay?”
Nikitha turned around in his arms and looked at him seriously for a moment before smiling. “No. I didn't mean like you think, every sex with him is memorable and full for me.. But I don’t know why I allowed it a few times… back-to-back. Maybe it was because of abundant love. Even after my energy drained, I wanted to give him what he deserved? Maybe the sacrifices of him like I pushed him into life with me, he is doing so much for me, I consider that as love and he deserves it.

Tharun raised an eyebrow. “Then why didn’t you reciprocate with me?”
She laughed softly. “No… what have you sacrificed for me..?
Tharun: What not? See my dear parents, they are now treating me like a stranger.. Is it not a sacrifice.
Nikitha’s face dropped suddenly..
Tharun kissed her deeply, his hands gently caressing her nipples. “I'm sorry, i didn't mean to hurt you.. It just came, I hope they understand us soon… I wish for that,” he murmured.
After a moment, Nikitha spoke again, her voice softer. “Tomorrow is the final hearing. Do you want to come with me?”
Tharun shook his head. “No. I don’t want to rub salt in Jay’s wound.”

Nikitha kissed him hungrily on the mouth after hearing that word.. When he tried suggesting a second round again, she laughed and pushed him back lightly. “No. Tomorrow is an important day. I need to sleep now.”

They hit the bed..

She rested her head on his chest, the city lights sparkling outside, while her mind quietly wrestled with unanswered questions about his past.
