I don't know what Heygiwriter will ultimately decide, but one thing keeps standing out to me—the title. It's An Affair, and affairs are always complicated.
In Heygi's stories, though, the husband and wife have never truly stayed apart. They go through fire and storm before finding their way back to each other. So, fingers crossed.
Jay is a good man. Nikitha may not deserve him right now, but I believe Jay is strong enough to handle her flaws and the situation.
As for Tharun, I've never really cared about him. He entered the picture in the middle, and I think he should leave. After all, the title is An Affair—not a love story about Tharun and Nikitha.
100% agree. However I will change "Nikitha doesn't deserve...." to "Nikitha feeling she doesn't deserve Jay.."
How will you change that mindset of hers? From so many chapters she is in that same feeling. If that is not the case, then reveal about Anjali letter which made her leave Jay for the first time would/should have resolved this. After this when Jay asks her about a request, she asks for divorce.
How do you change this stubbornness? Does she even love Jay now or she is repenting/regretting her decisions that led to this stage. If that is the case then all the things we have seen from the accident from her side, can be interpreted as genuine care and concern for the person who rescued her from a very dire situation.
One more detail Heygi mentioned in one of the chapters is: Jay and Nikitha are not strangers. Jay is Nikitha's senior in college who she admired. So even though it was a marriage of convenience, Nikitha knew him earlier.. not sure if that has any significance
