Adultery A Husband and Wife’s Playful Texts Turn Into a Complicated Affair
Chapter 117 - Unexpected move from Nikitha

The tension in the living room was thick enough to choke on.  The older man’s presence filled the space like an unwelcome storm cloud, bringing back years of family pressure and humiliation in a single glance.

NIkkitha asked  “Why did you follow me from the medical shop? And why did you run straight here the moment my car got into an accident?”

Accident? Jay looked at her with a question! Nikkitha told him it was a small hit, nothing big, the bumper got damaged.

Jay did he had anything. Sharmi, did you offered him tea?

The uncle blinked, momentarily thrown off by her directness and composed demeanor. Back then she looked vulnerable.. Now she looks bold. He was not sure if he should continue the filthy game of accusing them for an inappropriate relationship. But looking at her boldness, he decided to drop his smartness.

Between you didn't answer my question.. Why did you follow me from the medical shop? And why did you run straight here the moment my car got into an accident you could have said a Hi to me..

“Ahh,that one Nikitha,” he recovered quickly, forcing a sheepish laugh. “I didn’t follow you. I was actually on my way to deliver invitations for my family function happening next week in the village. I was actually on my way home to Invite Jay,  I just happened to see you at the medical shop… with some strange man. Naturally, I got concerned.”

He pulled out a printed invitation card and waved it half-heartedly, but his eyes narrowed with malicious curiosity.

“Between … I’m just curious. What were you doing with that man outside the medical shop? Buying birth control pills, no less. Maybe you bought it for family control.. But see people often misread it, even a few minutes back I was scolding Jay mistaking you all for something else. He laughed like he was joking. He had expected denial, or at least awkward silence from a vulnerable woman, if she knew that he would accuse her. Not this bold woman stepping into the fire.
Nikitha sensed an opportunity, She asked so what?

Sudagaran the uncle looked at her, the posture, the boldness, He actually wanted to spin a tale on Jay's wife, exaggerate it to Jay and make him and his wife fight, use the same story to spread across the Village to shame Jay, but Nikitha’s answer indirectly alarmed him.

Still he decided to confront decently unlike how he showed authoritativeness towards Jay. Also at the same time accuse conveniently to hurt them deeper and check how far they can take it.

Sudagaran continued , Don’t tell me you two are already divorced and living with other people? If that’s not the case, then you are roaming around with another man while your husband is here with some other woman… It's disgusting. Not suitable behavior for our family at all.

What exactly is happening here?” Any one cares to explain.
Nikitha clearly sensed it.  She could see the uncle’s mind working — he wanted to humiliate Jay, dig for dirt, and use whatever he had seen to create maximum damage.

Uncle stop your acting, not at all believable. “You rushed here specifically after seeing me, right?” she asked calmly. “You came to rush here, just to irritate Jay with whatever filthy story your mind cooked up?”

The uncle laughed awkwardly, but there was venom underneath. He thought she was going to deny, however he realised he was caught red handed by her when she catched his intent of coming here.… “It’s not what I thought, daughter. The world today is like that. Elders like us have to consider all possibilities.” If nothing works between you, it's fine. Family honors have to be protected.

Jay watched the exchange with growing dread, his injured elbow throbbing. He expected Nikitha to scold the uncle for his nasty mindset. Instead, she did something far bolder.

“Yeah,” Nikitha said, her voice clear and unashamed.
Sudagaran looks confused.
What, yeah? He asked.

Nikitha stepped a bit, and pointed her hands towards the door,  “See the man still sitting in the car outside? He is my lover. It was him who saw us together.”
The uncle’s face went blank with shock. He had come prepared to ridicule and sow doubt, expecting tears or desperate lies. Nikitha’s open admission left him speechless. The anger busted in him.

“How dare you…?” he finally sputtered. “How dare you speak to me like that? I’m your father’s age! You shameless girl — saying such things directly to my face!”

He turned to Jay, voice rising. “Jay, look who you married! She is not a proper woman. I always knew she would bring shame. Divorce her. Come back with me. Marry my second daughter. You know why I’ve always trolled and belittled you? Because you shamed me by rejecting my daughter and choosing her. Other than that, I have no personal issue with you. I always liked you and wanted you in my family, the moment you went out of me for someone i had to act like this. Now I see how you live your life, enough Jay come with me.. I will take care of you.”

Nikitha’s eyes flashed with defiance. Before Jay could respond, she stepped forward.
“Mr. Sudhagaran, you were speaking to me. Why are you pressuring Jay? Handle your issues with me directly.”

Jay quickly caught her hand and pulled her aside, voice low and urgent. “What are you doing? I know you want to break this marriage eventually, but let’s keep it between us. This is not the time to let my family know everything. You just admitted to an affair in front of him. He’ll spread it everywhere. Don't you know it will damage my reputation and name further?”

Nikitha looked at him, her gaze steady despite the storm inside her.
“Have I ever asked anything of you after our marriage?”
Jay paused, searching her eyes. “No.”

“Then consider this the one thing I’m asking.
Leave this matter to me. I need to handle him this way.”

Jay said I would do anything for you, but if you think like that, you are doing and damaging my name deliberately so that i would hate you and choose his daughter or someone, that wont work..  A damage to reputation or name is nothing before you leave me, I almost experienced that.

Nikitha looked at him, her expression softening for the first time in days. “Trust me this one time, Jay. This wont hurt you.. It will get back everything you lost.”
Jay searched her eyes. For a brief moment, he saw the old Nikitha — the woman who had stood beside him through chaos. He didn’t understand her plan, but he chose to believe in her. He was even okay if she was deliberately doing to hurt him, he thought he could take this as a punishment for everything he did to her.

He finally said,  “Do whatever you want,”
Nikitha gently released his hand and walked back toward the uncle, her posture straight and confident.

“Uncle, your intention to threaten and ridicule him is already done. If you’re satisfied, you can leave. Or if you have any other purpose worth our time, we’ll listen.”
Sudhagaran’s face twisted with irritation.

“You bitch! You think you can talk to me like this? I’ll not leave it just like that. Don't ever think of steeping into my Village.

Nikitha laughed lightly — cold, controlled, and cutting, who said I would be coming to Jay’s place. He may be coming there. But i wont, she opened her mobile and showed a flight ticket to Cochin. It's a trip to Cochin next week, days didn't match with your function, but I will be with Tharun for the entire week.

Shut up bitch, the uncle sneered with irritation. Jay,come back to the village next week. I’ll speak to your parents. Let me get you married to my second daughter. You don’t need this poisonous woman.”

If you are done just leave my place, Nikitha
The uncle stormed out, muttering threats under his breath. The door slammed behind him.

The room fell into heavy silence.
