Adultery A Husband and Wife’s Playful Texts Turn Into a Complicated Affair

So the real issue for Nikitha isn't Sharmi or the letter at all?

  1. Jay didn't fight for her.
  2. He showed ownership instead of making her feel loved.
  3. He didn't reciprocate or make her feel special, wanted, or truly cherished.
  4. The guilt of breaking Jay's trust and love.
Sharmi, Anjali, and the letter were just triggers that pushed everything forward.

It makes so much sense now. We were all blindly looking at things that could be challenged—like proving who wrote the letter or pointing out that nothing actually happened between Sharmi and Jay. We completely overlooked the emotional side of the relationship.

I'm glad the author didn't bother trying to satisfy the comments and instead stuck to his vision, shifting the spotlight to what really matters: human emotions and the importance of relationships.

So Nikki clearly knows what she's doing. Even if she later learns the truth about Sharmi or the real origin of the letter, I don't think she'll change her decision. The author has really backed us into a corner with this one.

Also, it was a really nice touch to include Tharun's analysis. He realizes that Nikki isn't choosing him because she loves him more—she's choosing him because she loves Jay so deeply that her guilt makes her believe she doesn't deserve him. That realization was beautifully written.

She doesn't know what she is doing....Neither she knows full truth nor she realizes that her actions or lack of actions is the cause of her marriage or life becoming loveless. Jay is to be blamed too for taking her granted but some times people need hints, signs and gestures to remind them that the person whom they share everything need attention. You cannot simple keep mum all the time and expect others to completely reciprocate.
Esp since sex between them was already on track, there is no other way for them to actually prove or express love. Tharun expressed his love through sex, what would have happened if Tharun and Nikita had sex day 1 when they met? They would have been in an affair rather than love by now...

Always situations, timing and expressing thoughts into actions are important in any relationship, if those are missing then you will miss the love as well...that's exactly what happened between these two...both are at fault. Since both love each other getting those minor things is easy if they reconcile but Tharun getting that kind of love from Nikita is impossible even though he deserves it more.
