Adultery A Husband and Wife’s Playful Texts Turn Into a Complicated Affair
Chapter 102 - The Full Truth

Nikitha and Tharun waited silently in the car outside the hospital until they saw Sharmi’s car pull up. Only after Sharmi hurried inside did Tharun start the engine and drive away into the early morning darkness.

The tension inside the car was suffocating. Tharun’s hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as he finally exploded.

“You said you would accept my love and marry me,” he began, voice shaking with hurt and anger. “But the moment Jay is in trouble, you run behind him.

You claimed him as your husband in front of everyone! What the hell is happening, Nikitha? Were you two pretending to be strangers all this time?”

He laughed bitterly. “I feel like a child who finally got his favorite toy… held it in his hands for a while, and before the warmth could even settle, someone snatched it away.”

Tharun glanced at her, eyes dark. “Look at your thighs, Nikki. My semen is still there dried. Look at your body — the marks I left on your neck and breasts are still fresh. Even before any of this faded, you dropped a staggering knife into my chest.”

He continued, voice cracking. “You hid such an important truth from me. Your husband was always around you.  After everything… after you chose to marry me? Didn’t I even deserve to know?

I always thought your husband was some guy abroad and you were in a troubled marriage. But Jay? Never in my wildest dreams. Whatever I saw today — the way you ran to him, the fear in your eyes, how you claimed to be his wife — makes me wonder if you’ll ever be able to ignore that love you still have for him.”

Nikitha turned her head toward him, eyes glistening. “Do you think I will choose him now, and leave you for him? after what happend with you? I remember my promise. and i took the decision thinking a lot.  About tonight..  Things escalated tonight in a way I never wanted.

I already told you once — I was hiding the truth in the beginning when we became friends.

Now after what you saw.. Did I look like some disgusting creature to you?”

Tharun shook his head. “You’re mistaken, Nikki. The issue is different for me, i see something else.

I saw how you suffered seeing him injured. Are you sure you want to be in my life? I’m not asking because I doubt you. I’m asking because I don’t want you to get hurt later.”  He pulled the car over near the villa resort and turned to face her fully.

“Like last night you asked me to accept you before you changed your mind… right...

I’m giving you the same chance now. I can’t ignore the love you displayed for Jay tonight. It alarms me something else. It’s okay — we can consider last night as an oversight, a mistake. I’m ready to let you go. But make a decision wisely. Choose right. Before I change my mind.” This doesnt mean i want to leave you.. i want you badly, want you truly.. but only for myself.. i cant see you loving someone else. So decide.. find where your heart is and make a decision..

Nikitha said not necessary.. Im certain.

Tharun said no, i dont see a clarity here.. i dont want you to make decision without proper understanding, without asking your heart.. I dont see a valid reason why you should avoid him when you have such a deep love...

after a minute of silence, he turned to her.

He paused, breathing heavily. “If you cannot make a decision right now, at least tell me your full story. Let me try to understand where it got so complicated… why you both couldn’t proceed with your lives.”

Nikitha looked at him for a long minute. Tharun stepped out of car, walked around, and opened her door. He said before we enter Villa i need to make a solid decision. I need to see where we are, i need full truth. She nodded in acceptance.. He grabbed her hand firmly and led her toward the quiet beach side behind the resort.

They sat on the cool sand, the sound of gentle waves in the background.

After a long silence.
Nikitha took a deep breath and began.

“My life has always been troubled because of my stepmother,” she said softly. “She made my life hell after my mother passed away. One day, she tried to force me into marriage with an old man for money. I didn’t want that life. On the day of the wedding, I escaped from the marriage hall and ran to a nearby temple.”

She smiled sadly. “Jay was already there. He had gone to marry his lover, but she didn’t show up. Instead, she married someone her parents chose. In my panic, I falsely claimed Jay was my lover to escape my relatives who were chasing me. In the chaos, we ended up getting married that same day.”

“It was a marriage of convenience for both of us. Jay also wanted to avoid marrying a relative his family had chosen for him. His family got furious and threw him out. My stepmother tricked me into signing papers and stole all the property my mother had left for me.”

“We came to Bangalore with nothing. We started our life together… but mostly as friends. We supported each other. But when we were alone… things escalated. We slipped into a friends-with-benefits zone. That’s when Jay took up a big challenge with his family — to prove his own worth without their help. We both needed to build something for ourselves. I also needed money to fight a legal case against my stepmother.”

“That’s how I joined the company. Jay’s company had a scheme where coders could refer people directly without strict background checks. I learned sincerely, improved myself. But the company has a strict policy — couples cannot work in the same place. So we hid everything. We lived like strangers in public. That’s why we kept lying to everyone.”

Nikitha looked out at the dark sea, her voice growing heavier.

“But this was just the tip of the iceberg. The moment we started protecting that lie… my relationship with Jay began crumbling.”

She fell silent, letting the weight of her words settle between them as the waves continued their steady rhythm on the shore.
