Chapter 88: Silent Comparisons and Hidden Plans
The car ride back to the hotel was quiet, the Mumbai evening lights blurring past the windows. Nikitha sat in the backseat, staring out at the passing city, completely lost in her thoughts.
She found herself comparing the two men who now occupied her heart and mind.
Jay’s recent behavior felt odd — distant yet strangely attentive in ways she hadn’t expected. He was no longer the man who once took her for granted.
