Tharun will pass the test easily, he is not a monster. He wants her as much as she wants him even if it is physical for now and they want to take it next level so I doubt there will be hiccups here for the new couple.
Why do Jay keep harping about his love and her love all the time, its exhausting. He knows at this point she wants to take chances with Tharun so no point pulling strings back on her, that is not something a person who loves her will do, sometimes letting go is also love and proving he is fulfilling her wish for his love for her and I am guessing that would be his next move.
If truly Nikita and Jay are meant for each other, they will find their way together at the end, if not then Tharun deserves Nikita for the attention, caring he will show going forward, either way nothing is concrete and written in stone.
