Oh I will definitely disrespect her for her choices bro...She is acting dumb and doing lot of damage to herself which might hurt her later to extreme levels.

That was the verbal contract. So Jay looking at her as his woman and his love and her expecting that from him is unfair. He cares for her all these years...he saved her reputation at work...Though she did not realize it, Sharmi's conversation proved it, if they would have spent time together at work, by now everybody would have tagged them as couple. They would have lost the jobs. 
If Nikita could slap Jay for taking Anjali to store room thinking he is spoiling everything what they built, She doesn't realize he is doing it for them both, he is doing it for her....

Not all people are crazy romantic, have you seen movie Rab ne bana di Jodi? SRK never expresses love but he fulfills duty all the time, he saves her from society when she loses her parents, fiance..he protects her, gives her life but she doesn't realize it and gets ready to elope with her dance partner....she only realizes her mistake at the end and sees who is her real savior....this story is exactly going in the same template. 
Jay is not just doing duty, he is taking care of her in his own way, he wants to take her to his family as his wife. Yes he is not crazy romantic and may not have created many memories but he protected her, he saved her and he is the reason she survived alone all these years. He loves her in his own way and it will take time for Nikita to realize this, Maybe Tharun is not bad at all but her heart already belongs to Jay. 

Just imagine Nikita talking to Tharun on a beach about her preferences, her wishes and her feelings...Did she ever do that with Jay in all these years together? Yes they started with sex but that doesn't mean she cannot take it to next level...at least they have physical compatibility, now emotional bonding is needed so even if she gave 10% of her thoughts to Jay, things would have been different. She never initiated it but she expects a lot from Jay.
