Adultery Husband's Controlled Fantasy, Wife's Dilemma - Part I & II
Chapter 160 - Practical Dreams & Hesitant Hearts

The same night, after Suresh, Sneha, and Ramya had left for their trip, Gowtham stood alone in his quiet house.
The silence felt different now — charged with possibility rather than emptiness.

A quiet realization settled over him.

She’s not just falling for me… she’s choosing to build with me.

He thought about Varsha — bold, ruthless when needed, yet willing to put in silent, tireless work without expecting anything in return. Marrying a beautiful girl was one thing… but marrying a sharp, ambitious mind who could actually help him build something? That felt rare. Valuable.

Even people who claimed to love each other deeply didn’t always do things like this. Varsha had chosen action over words.
A quiet, firm decision settled inside him.

I won’t let her go. And I won’t wait anymore.

He is still not sure if they are in love, even though expressed subtly, at different times.
but he is sure, they make a better pair.
and he agrees to himself on that.
Yes with deep understanding, trust on each other, i guess we can be a better half for each other. He thought

He spent the next hour going through the numbers again. Possibilities and challenges in running a new startup with funds they have in hand. The amount she had saved was significant, but not enough. Even the savings he had it wont Help much.

For a smooth run over the first six months — office rent, basic setup, hiring two juniors, initial marketing, he realized he would need at least another 10 lakhs. The realization didn’t discourage him. Instead, it ignited something fierce.

With Varsha’s support and confidence behind me…
I can chase the big dreams I always wanted.

He also got reminded of double work. working for current company in the day and working for startup in the night.
How would i build an empire of my own even without this little sacrifice and effort.

He decided. He wanted more money.

He know he cannot get anything from friends. as he don't really have one. Except Jiiva.

Asking my family could be right thing, getting a loan from his home town could be easiest way, if i wanted to start the company quick

As soon as the thought came, he decided that's the only way He packed a small bag with just the essentials, booked the next bus to his hometown, and left Bangalore that very night.

A six-hour journey lay ahead, but his mind was already racing forward.

On the way, he sent Varsha a message:

“I’m going to my town to get some funds from family.
I accessed everything — I guess we are good to go with the money you have and what I’m bringing.
Prepare the paperwork. We are starting our startup in 3 days.”

Varsha saw the message immediately.
The word “We” "Our" hit her like a warm wave.
She stared at it for a long moment, her heart beating faster.

She typed back hesitantly:
“We?”

He intentionally wants to display his love and affection for her indirectly, taking her back for verbal confirmation
Gowtham replied quickly:

“Yes. We are joint partners. You will have your share for the money you are investing. When I pitched my idea to my friend, I said the same to him. It would be better even for us. Apart from reattaching… we need to honor commitments for the amounts we have invested individually. This will continue even if we end up marrying each other. You will have your share. I will have mine.”

Varsha’s breath caught at the word “marrying each other.”
She smiled despite herself, a shy, hopeful smile.
She didn’t reply immediately. Instead, she just sent a simple handshake emoji.

A minute later, Gowtham sent one more message:
“Love you. Good night.”

Varsha’s heart raced.
She promised herself not to lose herself in emotions again.

But she couldn’t stop the warmth spreading through her chest.
She also knows Gowtham is expecting a Verbal confirmation.
and she does want to confirm it explicitly and also doesn't want to reject it.

She typed back a simple “Good night” and went to sleep, trying to compose herself.

The Next Morning

Gowtham reached his hometown by early morning.

While the family was happy to see him. He waited for a perfect time to speak with his parents.
After the breakfast
Without wasting time, he asked his parents.

“I need 10 lakhs,” he said firmly.
“To start my company.”

His mother looked worried.
His father frowned.
Company?
Why all of sudden?
You are having a nice job, why do you risk now?

Gowtham said, its a new scope, if clicks well i can start a new empire on my own.

Okay, 10 lakhs is quite a big amount, but i will get taht to you by next year.
No dad, i need it today or max tomorrow.

What? Tomorrow?

“What’s the hurry?
We may need time to arrange that kind of money.”

I don't know what you will do, i need it by tomorrow.
The father raised his voice, How dare you?
have you ever tried to check on us, ask us how we are?
ask us what we are into
ask your mother how her knee pain is?

Your mouth opens only for money?
Haven't i? share some money in the past.

Yes you did only when we ask.
Very rarely you gave it by yourself, whatever i cannot arrange any money by tomorrow.

Why not, you have pensioner savings.
You must have some savings from what i send! at times.

No way.. You don't have any rights about my pension money.

His elder brother and sister-in-law also supported it.
but different reason.

“Mother needs an operation soon,”
his brother said sharply.
“You want to take money for your dreams while she suffers?
Wait.”

But Gowtham was hell-bent.
He said, okay don't give from your pocket. Sell this asset and give me my share.
This property is my grand fathers.

Seeing his stubbornness and selfish mindset,  his father lost his temper.

“This is the only asset we have left.
I won’t give any of it away to someone who doesn’t value his own mother’s health.”

The argument turned ugly fast. Voices rose.
Accusations flew. His elder brother and wife whispered in the corner, then stepped forward with a cold proposal.

“You want money, right?
Fine. I’ll get a loan from my friends and give it to you.
I don't want an ungrateful person to stand at this place.
So you have to leave this family.
Legally, you have register the property in my name, and do a gift settlement.

A person who doesn’t value his mother has no place here.”
Gowtham, fueled by anger and ambition, agreed.

“Fine. Get the money. I’ll sign whatever you want. I’ll cut ties.”

His father looked heartbroken but didn’t stop it.
His mother who don't have courage witness all these went in after she tried stopping and every one from mess.

By afternoon, papers were drawn up.
Gowtham was ready to walk away from his family for the money.
Gowtham's brother, getting things ready so that he can sign tomorrow, and leave the family and assets to him.

Meanwhile, in Vizhag

Suresh, Sneha, and Ramya spent the day sightseeing — parks, beaches, and local attractions.
Ramya’s laughter filled the air, and for a few hours, Sneha allowed herself to forget the complications waiting back home.
But in the quiet moments, her mind kept drifting.

Back in Bangalore

Varsha had spent the entire day working on company matters, but her heart was elsewhere. The moment office ended, she went straight to the small flat she had shown Gowtham. She paid a token advance rent to the owner and began mentally planning the layout.

She managed to send papers to Auditor, with which the paper works for start up had started.
She smiled to herself, whispering softly,
“We’re really doing this…”
