Adultery Husband's Controlled Fantasy, Wife's Dilemma - Part I & II
Chapter 147 -  Get back on your feet

The same day that evening, after most of the staff had left,
Mirna called Varsha into her cabin.

“Varsha, can you come in for a minute?
I need to discuss something with you.”

Varsha entered nervously, expecting a formal HR talk.
Mirna closed the door behind her and gestured for her to sit on the sofa instead of the chair opposite the desk.

Mirna poured two cups of coffee and sat beside her, not behind the desk.
The gesture made Varsha relax slightly.
Mirna took a sip and spoke gently but directly.

“I heard your story from Prakash sir.
He is genuinely concerned about you.
He told me how strong and different you are… how you’ve been handling everything alone.”

Ever since I heard the story, I was excited to see you, a young girl fighting against odd, No non-sense attitude, ambitious.
I was even imagining a mental figure of a young girl who was so much into the work, brilliant, cheerful, like a true leader.

But I could not see a girl matching that description with you?

Instead I see a girl who is lost
Instead a girl who tore an official paper on my desk.
Fighting with a co-worker for a personal reason.

As a HR what should i do..
Should I not be ready to kick you out?
Least suspension?

Varsha looked down, embarrassed.
Sorry mam.

Mirna continued, her voice soft but firm.
I'm here to do that but not now. Don't worry,  I wanted to give my people some time to fix it.
The company is already in a deep mess.

My husband Vikram is purchasing a large share, imagining great outcomes. But everything looks broken here, the work culture, the productivity, the best performing staff like Rahul is a fraudster who sold company secrets, the remaining two of them have personal issues.

What will you do if you are an owner of this company?
Not asking you as a HR, just think we are some friends and you are advicing me?

Varsha told, i would hire more efficient staff.
Mirna asked what about inefficient people who are not focused?

Varsha inhaled deeper and I would remove them..
Did I try that?
Varsha: No mam

Mirna continued
It's just two days and you have disappointed me, I could not see any Spark in you..
Instead I could see only you are distressed and struggling with love.
I'm sorry man, next time I wont…

Mirna held her palm and said.. So far I speak as a HR, let me take a liberty as a friend, and advice to someone who asked me last evening if I'm alright when I cried.
Mirna inhaled deeply and said.

“It’s okay to love someone, Varsha. Love is beautiful.
But right now, you’re losing yourself in it.

You’re risking your family, your stability, your future… for a man who doesn’t seem to value what you’re sacrificing.”
Varsha’s eyes welled up.

He is a good person, mam, and I… I just don’t want him to struggle because of me.”
Mirna said, I don't understand if you care to explain or tell your story, i may help on this.
Varsha looked at her..

10 Mins she narrated the full story of what happened between her and gowtham, and why she is like this
Mirna placed a gentle hand on Varsha’s shoulder.

“I understand that feeling. I’ve been there. But listen to me carefully — a love that drowns both of you is not love. It should uplift you. It should make you stronger, not make you throw away your dignity and security.”

People in love sometimes throw their dignity for loved ones, it happened in my case too..
But the situation has to be extreme or needy!

You submitted your resignation. You tore his letter to protect him.
You’re ready to suffer so he can live comfortably.
That’s not strength anymore, Varsha.
That’s self-destruction.

Answer my question Varsha

Have you ever asked him why he wanted to resign?
How did you decide you are the reason why he is quitting?
Do you know if he is wealthy or poor or middle class like you instantly decided he would suffer from his regular bills if he quit?
And why are you doing this drastic step, before even not knowing if that is a love or any other feelings?
Has none of this appeared in your mind Varsha?

Varsha was stunned with Mirna’s questions.

Mirna continued, when something is wrong between lovers or couples,
the first thing one should do is question them, what, why and How?
and you never asked why did he quit and you assumed.
Speaking to your partner and asking open is basic.

Mirna said, i wont judge your intelligence, people in love sometimes allow love to emotionally blind them in the process they lose themself, you are doing exactly the same, losing your uniqueness, your boldness, your original character. Even if Gowtham had loved you, do you think he would treat you the same as before? Wont he ridicule you for your absurdity in the near future..?  Remember he proposed to you when you are bold, now you look like weak, easy and only emotionally viable women.

Don't you know you lost your own self, in this uncertainty?  look at that mirror, see your face, do you see yourself, the old confident terrifying Varsha prakash praised me about?

She shook her head No.
Then
“Get back on your feet. Focus on your job, your growth, your family. If Gowtham really cares, he will respect you for it. If he doesn’t… then you have your answer.”

People in Love grow together; they don't drag each other down. Even today my husband and I have a misunderstanding, still we speak, still i manage his business here. Love is not a one day emotional bonding, it has a long path to go.
Get back on your feet

Varsha wiped her tears silently.
She paused, letting her words sink in.
Mirna’s voice softened further.

She gave Varsha a small, encouraging smile.
“You’re young, beautiful, and capable. Don’t let one man make you forget your own worth.”

Varsha nodded slowly, her voice barely a whisper.
“Thank you, ma’am.”

Mirna squeezed her shoulder lightly.
“Take care of yourself first. The rest will fall into place.”
