To her surprise, Shankar’s personal driver was waiting for her near her neighborhood. He had politely opened the car door and driven her directly to the office, making her feel both special and nervous. Meera reached the office building at 9:45 AM, her heart beating faster than usual. Today was the big investor presentation for the ANAAVARAN brand, and the pressure was immense. 
She stepped out of the car looking elegant in her emerald green kurti set. The outfit fitted her perfectly, accentuating her curves while maintaining a professional look. As she entered the conference room on the 8th floor, the atmosphere felt heavy. Five investors from the Malaysian Group were already seated — four middle-aged men in sharp suits and one elegant lady in her early 50s, dressed in a executive dress.
Shankar was at the head of the table, looking confident but tense. He gave Meera a small nod as she took her seat beside him.
The presentation began smoothly. Shankar presented the vision for ANAAVARAN with slides, market analysis, and projected numbers. Meera sat quietly, taking notes and occasionally handing him supporting documents.
Halfway through, Shankar discreetly slipped a small folded note under the table to Meera.
She opened it carefully and read:
“Something is off. They are not interested like how I talked on call. They are very passive. Something is wrong. Looks the deal is off. We may need a miracle.”
Meera’s stomach tightened. She looked at the investors — their faces were cold and unimpressed.
When Shankar finished his part and opened the floor for questions, the atmosphere turned hostile.
The lead investor, one of the older men, leaned forward.
“We have received internal documentation showing serious product issues — sizing problems, quality complaints, high return rates. These were not addressed properly. Can you explain why we should invest in a brand with such fundamental flaws?” 
He replied it with generic answer saying part of process no major flaws were there.

But the investors were prepared. They pointed out specific complaints and data points that were known only to a very small circle — Meera, Shankar, and Rekha. Someone had clearly leaked the original internal report.

Shankar’s face tightened. He knew Ajmal is behind this. He asked how did you get the documents those were internal.

Shankar glanced at Meera, a flicker of doubt crossing his eyes for a split second. Was it possible she had shared the report with someone?
Meera’s mind raced. She knew exactly what had happened — Ajmal must have leaked it. But she couldn’t say that openly.

As the investors grew more aggressive, Meera took a deep breath and stood up.
“May I?” she asked Shankar softly.
He nodded, surprised.
Meera stepped forward with quiet confidence.
“These issues were indeed present during the initial beta release,” she said clearly. “But we made significant changes after that feedback. Here are the dated changelog documents and revised quality reports.”. But the latest changelogs were not to be found on their shared folders. Panicking for a second she gained her calmness.
She turned to Shankar and asked politely but firmly, “Sir, could you please get the printed copies from my desk? They have all the dates and before-after comparisons.”
Shankar, for the first time, looked like her assistant rather than her boss. He nodded and quickly went to fetch the documents.
Meera continued answering every question with poise and detailed explanations. She showed how the problems had been identified, fixed, and tested. Her calm, knowledgeable responses slowly turned the tide. The investors, especially the lady, began nodding in agreement.
By the end of her intervention, the room’s energy started to  shift. Some in Malaysian Group started to look convinced that they had been misinformed.

The conference room was thick with tension. The five investors from the Malaysian Group sat with serious expressions. She continued confidently, addressing the room:
“We have our model, Riya, who has given very high praise for the product. Not just her — everyone who has used the ANAAVARAN range during testing has given positive feedback. The issues mentioned were from the early beta phase and have been completely resolved.”
Two of the male investors nodded, clearly trusting her calm and detailed explanation. However, the other two men still looked doubtful, arms crossed, waiting for more proof.
Then the elegant lady in her early 50s spoke up. Her voice was calm but sharp.
“We received anonymous information about serious quality issues. From Mr. Shankar’s reaction just now, it seems those concerns are not entirely baseless.”
The room went silent. Shankar’s face tightened.
The lady continued, turning her gaze directly to Meera.
“But girl, what’s your name? Meera, right? You gave a very good, composed response. I feel like trusting you. I am willing to believe that the anonymous information may not be correct.”
Meera felt a surge of relief mixed with responsibility. She took a small step forward and spoke with sincerity:
“Madam, I can assure you those allegations are false. In fact, I myself use these products daily. I am wearing an ANAAVARAN bra and panty right now. So I can personally vouch for the quality, comfort, and fit.”
There was a murmur in the room. The investors looked surprised but intrigued.
Meera continued, her voice gaining strength:
“I will do one better. I can get Riya, our lead model, to do a live demo right here. You will see for yourselves how the material stretches, how it provides coverage, and how comfortable it feels. That should clear all doubts.”
The Malaysian team exchanged glances. The lady nodded.
“Yes, we are okay with that suggestion. Let’s see the demo.”
Shankar immediately took out his phone and tried calling Riya. The call went straight to voicemail — her phone was switched off. He tried again. Still nothing.
Shankar’s face darkened. He understood immediately. Riya had been explicitly asked to be available today, yet she was unreachable. This was clearly Ajmal’s doing — he must have influenced her to stay away and sabotage the presentation.
Shankar leaned toward Meera and whispered, “Riya is not picking up. She’s playing to Ajmal’s tunes.”
Meera’s heart sank.
The lady investor noticed the delay and her tone changed noticeably.
“Is there a problem?”
Meera replied honestly but politely, “The model is not available right now, madam.”
The lady’s expression hardened.
“We are not getting the right vibe from the beginning. First, there was conflicting internal information. Then you gave us a convincing story and offered a live demo to clear everything… and now you say the model is not available. It does not feel right at all.”
The other investors nodded in agreement. The atmosphere in the room grew colder.
Meera felt the pressure mounting. Her hands were slightly trembling, but she kept her composure. Shankar looked tense, clearly realizing how badly Ajmal had undermined them.
