Ravi was always very honest and sincere in the company where he worked. But the Senior Manager there didn’t like him at all and was waiting for the right opportunity to destroy him. He waited very carefully for the perfect moment.
That day finally came.
At the right time, when no one was watching, he committed the mistake in Ravi’s name and completed it.
Because of this, the company suffered a huge loss.
He put the entire blame on Ravi and asked him to take responsibility for the loss.
Ravi was shocked. He repeatedly said he hadn’t done anything wrong.
But the circumstances and evidence were all against him.
For a moment, Ravi even doubted himself — “Did I really do this by mistake?”
He wondered how he could compensate for such a massive loss.
He felt heartbroken that the company he had served so honestly had abandoned him.
The company quickly fired him.
They deducted 90% of the money that was due to him and paid only the rest.
They also ordered him to pay a fixed amount every month for the next three years to cover the loss.
This news hit Ravi’s family like a thunderbolt.
Ravi was completely devastated.
So was his family.
Ravi couldn’t find another job in the same field.
He kept thinking about it and suffered mentally.
Later he took whatever job he could get, but the salary wasn’t enough.
Money started disappearing from their hands rapidly.
On top of that, he had to pay the company every month, so their savings drained fast.
Athi said she would go for a job and started searching. But since she had no prior work experience, she couldn’t get the kind of job she wanted.
With no other choice, she took whatever work she could find — low salary, and physically very tiring. She couldn’t handle it well.
Six months passed like this.
Ravi asked for help from Raghu, his other friends, and relatives, but nothing worked.
One day, Ravi’s father went to buy ration items.
While returning with the bags, he felt dizzy in the hot sun. Poor man — he had grown old and his body wasn’t as strong as before.
He was stumbling along when, unexpectedly, he fell in front of a car.
Everyone rushed to see.
The man who got out of the car was Velu.
The moment Velu saw Ravi’s father, he recognised him. He immediately took him to the hospital, got him treated, and dropped him back home.
Only then did Velu meet the family after many years.
They invited him inside. Velu came in, had coffee, and listened to all the hardships and tragedies that had happened in their family recently.
He felt sad that such a good man had to suffer like this.
Velu offered to pay the entire three-year amount Ravi had to repay, plus some extra help. He said they could return it whenever they were able.
But Ravi refused. He already felt he owed Velu a huge debt from the past.
Velu then offered to arrange a job for Ravi.
Ravi replied, “I don’t need a job for myself. No matter how much I struggle, it’s fine. Please give some work to my wife. She’s suffering a lot going out for work.”
Velu thought for a moment and said,
“I don’t have any vacancy for women right now… but I can do one thing.
I don’t have a personal secretary. I handle everything myself — that’s my habit.
If you want, I can give that job to your wife.”
He added, “Come on the 1st,” and got ready to leave.
Everyone thanked him profusely.
They all believed the problem was mostly solved now.
In the past few months, the sexual life between Ravi and Athi had not been good.

Their once-great sex life had become almost non-existent for the last six months.
Ravi was like a broken man.
Athi, busy with housework and the new tiring job, had stopped taking care of her appearance.
Even on the few occasions they did come together in those six months, something felt missing for both of them. They couldn’t fully enjoy the pleasure.

Morning. Ravi woke up at 9:00 AM.
When he looked towards the mirror, Athi had just finished dressing up and turned around. Ravi was stunned.
Athi had bathed, worn a neatly dbangd saree, put a lot of jasmine flowers in her hair, and a fresh kumkum on her forehead. She looked beautiful.
“What, dear? I’m going to work today.
The boy’s uncle has taken him to college.
I’ve finished cooking. Aunty will make dinner tonight,” she said as she walked towards the door.
Ravi tried to stop her and pull her into a hug, but she moved away.
“Please, not now… we’ll do it at night,” she said.
Ravi felt it was reasonable and controlled himself.
Athi went to Velu’s shop for the first time.
Velu welcomed her warmly and introduced her to everyone.
He personally started teaching her the work.
When Athi returned home after work that evening, the entire family felt happy the moment they saw her.
It felt like something they had lost had come back.
That night they all ate together and went to sleep.
Their son slept with grandpa in the hall that day, giving Ravi and Athi privacy.
Ravi turned and looked at Athi.
