Chapter 116 Part 2: Anandhi the new partner of Suriya to find truth
Suriya was sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked at her for a long moment, then gave a small, gentle nod toward the space beside him.
“Sit,” he said quietly.
Anandhi hesitated, then moved and sat on the bed, keeping a careful gap between them. For the first few minutes, they spoke in soft, careful sentences — lies wrapped in gentle tones.
Anandhi began, “When you were in prison… I wanted to visit. I really did. But the doctor warned me about high blood pressure and risk to the baby. Rahul was worried too. I thought staying away would protect everyone.”
Suriya nodded, his expression understanding. “I never blamed you. But it do hurt me when none of you were able to see me? not even a 10 mins in the months? That thought kept me looped in the mind.”
Anandhi hands reached his hands for assurance.
He cried a bit.. he shared how he was mentally affected the moment he was inside there! The people, the news paper carrying his image, the photos of his name boards thrashed by the investors in his gym.
Anandhi told him she feels for him and she know how it would have been devastating for him.. but certain things were not favorable.. she asked him to live the present and she said she is happy for his growth.. that no one could have even thought..
that will power im impressed with that, this is you Suriya she said..
the talk went towards kids .. and they lost themselves in that
As the conversation deepened, the distance between them slowly shrank. After nearly twenty minutes, when the talk had turned softer and more personal, Suriya finally moved. He lifted his arm and gently placed it around her shoulder, pulling her just a little closer to his side.
Anandhi stiffened for a fraction of a second, but she didn’t pull away. The warmth of his arm felt dangerously familiar.
His thumb began tracing slow circles on her upper arm.
His voice dropped lower. “Anandhi… tell me honestly. Do you know who was behind my downfall? Who framed me for those frauds?”
Anandhi turned her face slightly toward him. “Did you doubt any of us?”
Suriya looked into her eyes. “I had doubts… but I never wanted to believe it.”
Anandhi swallowed. “If you have any doubt, tell me. I will clarify everything for you. No secrets between us anymore.”
but keeping a thought like that on us, do you think our relationship will grow healthier?
Suriya stayed silent for a beat, then spoke in a pained voice.
You never know what i went through Anandhi
“Inside prison… it was hell. Some co-prisoners beat me badly one night. They said I was a fraudster who cheated innocent people. They punched me, kicked me… I still remember the pain.”
He slowly unbuttoned the top few buttons of his shirt and opened it, exposing his bare chest.
“There was a deep wound here,” he said, pointing to a spot. “It’s faded now, but sometimes I still feel it.”
Anandhi’s eyes fell on his bare skin. Memories flooded back. Her breath became unsteady.
Suriya gently took her hand and placed it on the spot. “Feel it… the scar is still there, even if it’s not visible.”
Anandhi’s fingers trembled against his chest. Heat bloomed low in her belly. She pulled her hand back slowly.
Suriya asked her why you took back your hand? once when i got hit by a ball, you kissed me there on my chest were the ball hits, your hands carrassed me there in the night..
Anandhi looked at his eyes and said
“I can be your friend again,” she whispered. “But don’t expect things to be like old times. We can’t go back there.”
Suriya looked at her with soft eyes. He said I know but still a part of me carved for it , any way... “This is enough for me.”
but i missed your warmth, the moral support, your kindness, your touch that softens me..
He brought his face closer, his lips hovering just inches from hers. Anandhi’s breath hitched. For a moment, her body leaned in instinctively.
Before his lips could touch hers, she turned her face slightly and said firmly, “Don’t… Not like that.”
Suriya didn’t force it. Instead, he tilted his head and pressed a gentle, lingering kiss on her forehead.
Anandhi looked at him, she was not able to move..
he said.. the hurt is deep in me.. the mental turmoil faced, he then pulled her into a warm hug..
A single genuine tear slipped from his eye and fell onto her naked collarbone, warm and wet against her skin.
Anandhi trembled violently at the contact. The tear felt like a burning drop.
For a brief moment, all her defences crumbled.
Inside her heart, a quiet voice whispered: I’m sorry… I put you through too much turmoil.
She couldn’t stop herself. Her arms slowly came up and wrapped around him in a tight hug. Suriya held her close, his chin resting on top of her head.
Neither of them spoke for a long time.
Then Suriya broke the silence, his voice low against her hair.
“I have doubts… but I need your help in exposing them. I doubt Madhavan… and even Rahul.”
Anandhi stiffened in his arms. She pulled back slightly to look at him.
Anandhi defended quickly, “You think too much. You’re imagining things that aren’t there.”
Suriya leaned in a little more, his arm still around her shoulder. “What if Rahul was the one who did it?”
Anandhi’s body tensed. “He would never do that.”
Suriya’s eyes sharpened. “You defended Rahul… but you didn’t defend Madhavan.
What if it was his plan? You just help me uncover it. That’s all I’m asking.”
i need to get justice.. i firmly believe someone behind my downfall..
let me be open with your.. i doubt Rahul and Madhavan.
Suriya’s eyes darkened with quiet intensity. “I can prove my innocence with your help.”
Anandhi let out a small, nervous laugh. “You day-dream. You really think you can prove something like that?”
Suriya continued, voice low and steady, “What if I prove it? If I prove someone was behind my downfall…
Anandhi said, i will prove no one is behind and its all situations.
Suriya stressed “What if I prove it?
What if it is Rahul?
Anandhi looked at him puzzled.
Suriya continued. If i prove its him behind it then I need you. Like before. I want you to experience me deeper inside you.. like old times.”
Anandhi’s heart slammed against her ribs. She looked terrified for a moment, then straightened her spine.
She said firmly, “If you prove it… lets see
Suriya then said, thanks, we will together uncover f someone had been behind my back orchestrated the schemes.
The words hung heavy in the air.
Anandhi realised with a chill what was happening.
He is making me a willing partner in uncovering the truth…
But she had a stake here. She could sabotage his plans. She could warn Rahul. Or, even without warning Rahul, she could quietly derail whatever Suriya was planning.
She took a deep breath and said, “Okay… I will help.”
Suriya’s eyes softened with satisfaction. “Can we meet regularly like this? At this time?”
Anandhi nodded. “Yes.”
He smiled gently. “Tomorrow, let me give you the first step of the plan that leads to the truth. I need justice, right?”
Anandhi placed her hand on his chin, her thumb brushing lightly against his jaw. “You think too much… See, I will help. But this is not life. It’s more than what it is.”
Suriya smiled.
Anandhi took one deep breath and said again, “Okay… I will help.” But promise me you keep all these secret, and you dont make any move without my order or consent..
Without warning, Suriya quickly leaned in and placed a soft, fleeting kiss on the surface of her lips.
Anandhi didn’t expect it. Her eyes widened.
Suriya’s eyes flashed with surprise and dark satisfaction.
Anandhi stood up abruptly. “That’s enough for tonight.”
She walked faster toward the door, her steps quick and unsteady.
When she reached the hall, she stopped. Her fingers rose instinctively and touched her lips.
A strange mix of fear, guilt, and heat coursed through her body.
She realised she had just willingly stepped into a dangerous game.
But she had a plan of her own.
She would play along with him. She would get closer. She would listen to every word.
And when the time came, she would sabotage his plans — quietly, completely — to protect Rahul and their family.
Suriya was sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked at her for a long moment, then gave a small, gentle nod toward the space beside him.
