Adultery 100 Days with My Wife: One Women, Two Desires, One Eternal Love [Completed]
Chapter 109: The Next 2 Days – The Invitation Home

The next two days passed in a steady rhythm of work, practical challenges, and quiet observation.
Day 4

Suriya continued working with laser focus. He arrived at the empty land early, measuring boundaries, checking soil quality, and noting down legal paperwork requirements. He discovered minor issues — an old easement dispute with the neighbouring plot and some pending owner negotiations that needed careful handling. Rahul, seeing the diligence, offered help by connecting him with local contacts he knew well. Suriya accepted the assistance politely, thanked him, and continued without wasting time.

There was no personal talk. No lingering looks at Anandhi in front of Rahul. It was all business.

The practical problems, however, were becoming impossible to ignore.
The hotel room Suriya was staying in was 45 minutes away from the work site. Late-night supplier meetings followed by early-morning site visits were exhausting him. He mentioned it casually during one of the calls with Rahul, without any complaint: “I’m managing with tea and biscuits at odd hours. The travel is eating up a lot of time.”
Additionally, they had decided to start building Suriya’s new house on the empty land closer to Rahul’s house. That location was 30–35 minutes from the main gym site and another 20 minutes from the hotel. If he stayed at Rahul’s house, the gym site would be only 15 minutes away, and the house construction site would be just a few seconds’ walk.

That night, around 10 PM, Anandhi realised the difficulty firsthand. Both Rahul and Suriya were still deeply involved in work at the site. She packed fresh food — dosa, sambar, and some snacks — and drove it over herself. When she saw Suriya eating cold roadside items earlier in the day, something inside her shifted. She didn’t say much, but the image stayed with her.

Rahul, too, started feeling the practical burden. While reviewing the day’s progress that night, he thought to himself, It’s not sustainable. He’s working hard for our partnership. The least we can do is offer basic comfort.

Day 5
The pattern continued. Suriya was still at the site at 10 PM, finalising measurements under floodlights. Rahul, watching the time, picked up his phone and called him.
“It’s too late,” Rahul said. “Come home, have dinner, and stay in the guest room tonight. No need to drive back.”

Suriya accepted with polite thanks. “That would be helpful. I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”

It was the first night Suriya stayed in the house again after so many months.
The atmosphere was tense for Anandhi but felt surprisingly normal for Rahul. The children were excited to have “Suriya Appa” back under the same roof. Rohan and Riya chattered happily during dinner, showing him their college projects. Suriya listened patiently, smiling at their stories.

Rahul watched the scene and told himself, He has moved on. This is just practical help. Later, when Anandhi was clearing the table, he said to her quietly, “I’ve been thinking… it’s tougher for him there. I’m planning to ask him to stay until the shop and house setup is finished. What do you say?”

Anandhi looked at him for a moment, then replied softly, “I was about to suggest the same. You are the right person to decide.”

Rahul felt a small surge of pride. He nodded. “I’ll speak with him tomorrow.”

Anandhi felt a mix of relief — Suriya was not causing any visible trouble — and deep, gnawing guilt. She knew the house had originally belonged to him. Making him stay as a guest in what was once his own home felt wrong. Still, she made a special breakfast the next morning — soft idlis, fragrant sambar, coconut chutney, and a side of cauliflower fry — something she hadn’t done with this much care in a long time. She stayed mostly quiet during the meal, observing everything.

Suriya thanked her politely for the food and left early for the site, once again focused only on work.

As the days settled into this new rhythm, Rahul’s decision felt logical and practical to him. He told himself he was simply being a good partner.

Anandhi, however, carried the heavier burden. Every time she saw Suriya in the house, the guilt deepened. She knew the truth. She knew what Rahul had done. And yet she stayed silent, playing the perfect wife while her heart remained torn between loyalty and the quiet fear of what might happen if the fragile balance broke.

The real test, she knew, was still to come.
