Ajay woke up early the next morning at 6:15 AM. For the first time in many days, there was a spark in his eyes. The discovery that Meera was now working directly under Shankar had given him fresh hope. He quietly got up, made tea, and prepared breakfast — upma and coconut chutney, Meera’s favourite.

“I have an important meeting. Need to leave early,” Ajay replied. He kept some cash on the table. “Here, take this. Go shopping today. Buy some new clothes for your office. You should look good.”
Meera felt touched. She hugged him. “Thank you, Ajay.” But she felt sad as he left quickly.
Ajay left soon after, saying he had to meet someone important. In reality, he was going to meet his boss Raghav secretly near the tea stall to discuss the new development — that his wife was now inside Shankar’s company.
